Twelve percent (12%) of voters nationwide believe that most opponents of President Obama’s health care reform plan are racist. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 67% of voters disagree, and 21% are not sure.
In recent days, several Democrats have suggested that racism is a factor. The most prominent to make that accusation is former President Jimmy Carter.
Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans reject the notion that most of the opponents are racist. So do 78% of voters not affiliated with either major party. However, just 39% of Democrats share that view. Twenty-two percent (22%) of those in the president’s party say that most of the opposition to his plan comes from racists, and another 39% are not sure.

Only one percent (1%) of those opposed to the health care plan believe that most of the opposition comes from racists.
Among Obama’s strongest supporters, those who Strongly Approve of his job performance, 35% say most opponents are racists, 32% disagree and 33% are not sure.
Among African-American voters, 27% say most opponents are racist, 25% disagree, and 48% are not sure.
Fifty percent (50%) of white Democrats reject the charge of racism, but 15% say it’s true.

Playing the race card has epically failed for Obama and the Dems this time around. The American people are not fooled any more by this same old tired tactic. They cried wolf too many times to now be believed.
America is not a racist country.
Americans oppose Obamacare based on the substance of the plan. Obama cannot erase that fact with any amount of speeches or television show appearances. He failed to close the deal.
All Obama and Dems have left is to ram it down our throats anyway. And there will be a swift political reckoning from the American people towards those that vote for Obamacare.
Well good luck trying to turn the tide with that 12%!

Getting the term “RACER” out in the mainstream will be the end of the use of the race card. It will make it the object of dismissive ridicule.
And when the left can’t use it anymore, they’ll have to debate based on the issues, which they will lose every time.
PS - I just heard the morning show host in KC use the term and say he will continue to use the term.
For me, my opposition stems from the fact that managing my own health-care choices is a freedom I have had enjoyed my entire life. I make my own health-care decisions. I do not want the government taking this from me. Plain and simple.
These people probably don't know the issues. They blindly accept what Obambi and other politicians tell them... thus, the name moonbat applies.
Though I was disappointed by the November result, I really had a glimmer of hope on Jan. 20th, that OWEbummer would try to be THE president who tried hard to bring us together and heal the racial divide in America. I had hoped he could be like “Nixon” (in the anti-Communist role of opening dialog with Red China) and would finally end affirmative action programs that perpetuate racism in America. I see my hope was just a bitter altruistic dream worthy only of a Lewis Carroll episode!
There are a number of white guilt liberals stacked into that 12%, I'm sure. Along with other fools and useful idiots.....
What this says to me is that a significant percentage of the Black Demographic that the MSM and Politicians are targeting with this "White People are All Racist" crap....ain't buying it.
