Senior White House adviser David Axelrod said President Obama is "not willing to accept" that a so-called public option "is not going to be in the final package" of health-care legislation on "Face the Nation" Sunday.
"He continues to believe it's a good idea," Axelrod told CBS News Chief Washington correspondent and "Face the Nation" anchor Bob Schieffer about a government-funded alternative to private health insurance. "He continues to advocate it, and I'm not willing to accept that it's not going to be in the final package."

Rope or Piano Wire— How ‘bout them options...?
2010 should show to be a very interesting year in politics.
Obama firm on denying Public Opinion
People firm on booting Bozo’s a** out of office!
They have to move quickly. If they do not get it soon the public will awaken to their schemes. The media will do their best to get the poll over 50% with lies and scams.
” Obama firm on denying Public Opinion”
And what say you Bill O’Reilly who is adamant it’s gone....
...the evil twins....
Yes. 34% approval is “firm.”
Keep a-comin’ Napoleon, to your Waterloo.
In this case Bill OReilly is a delusional FOOL who refuses to face the FACTS regarding who and what Obama is and seeks to do to our country.
Hell, the Obama team can’t even get their stories straight. What are people supposed to believe when Obama, et al, can’t even figure it out?!
Everything that comes out of the Obama team is a lie anyway. Obama thinks he can stand before the American people and LIE HIS *SS off and expect us to believe it! Then he gets ticked off when we don’t. STUFF IT, big ears!
Overall, we enjoy his show, (especially our little game - whenever he says "the folks", we take a sip of our wine). He has a lot of neat features, such as the Culture Quiz, but when he starts groveling to Obama, I just want to "fwow up".
Six weeks ago, BO thought he was going to get whatever he wanted without a debate. Now he just wants enough to keep from appearing neutered. The waffling is the Dems struggling between "grab what we can now" and "try to stay in power" goals...a problem they were clearly not anticipating. If the Dems start seeing their own interests and BOs diverging it would be HUGE. I'm amazed how politically naive BO and his crowd is. I think the less loony Dems see this too and are getting queasy, the way you'd feel following an incompetent leader into combat.
Kinda reminds me of the movie Bachelor Party, “Do I take the girl or do I take the car? Take the girl! No! Take the car! The girl! The car! The girl! The car!”
Perhaps his info came from his most trusted confidante - Geraldo?
Piano wire
Obama thinks he is a dictator, so of course, he will not bend.
Here’s a letter to the editor I just sent:
“Editor:
We need to tell our politicians to kill any and all “health care reform” bills, because our government has shown that they cannot be trusted. One of many examples is when President Obama said: “Maybe youre better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller.
Also, pro-life Republicans and Democrats co-sponsored amendments to exclude abortion from the bills, but they were voted down.
Proponets of the “health care reform” bill ask us what our suggestions are, but when we give them our suggestions such as the option to buy insurance from any state in the country, Health Savings Accounts or Tort reform, they turn a deaf ear. They don’t want reform - they want control!
After your congressperson and U.S. senators vote for the “health care reform” bill, call their offices to find out how they voted. If they ignored you, you know what to do on their election days.”
