None of the three candidates for congress has more than 30 percent of the electorate's vote, according to a new poll.
The poll of 300 likely voters was conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for Conservative party candidate Doug Hoffman.
The poll showed Republican Dede Scozzafava with 30% of the vote, Democrat Bill Owens with 20% and Hoffman with 19%.
Thirty-one per cent of those polled were undecided.
Pollster John McLaughlin said the poll shows that Hoffman "has an excellent chance of winning this election."
"This race is shaping up to be a clear choice among a liberal Republican, a liberal Democrat and a true Conservative," said McLaughlin in a memo to Hoffman.

This is a hopeful sign. A Hoffman will signal a rejection of Republicans nominating RINO’s in conservative districts.

Hopeful perhaps, but Hoffman needs to capture a reasonable portion of those 31 points.

What district is this? Who vacated the seat to cause the special election? When will the special election be held?

Hoffman already has 19%, he'll need 34% of the vote to win in a 3-way race. 31% of those polled are undecided undecided at the moment. This might be one of those rare examples where we a third party candidate can win in U.S. politics. If he empathizes that he'll caucus with the GOP, he can probably peel more GOP voters onto to his side who aren't happy with Scozzafava. Needs to go after independents (the bulk of the electorate) hard too and talk about how both parties have failed NY.
I'd love to see a Hoffman victory, it would be a wakeup class to the clueless, RINO infested NYGOP. It will be a uphill fight to win though. If I lived in NY I'd volunteer for Hoffman's campaign.

if you lived in NY, you could volunteer for Hoffman. TWICE.
And you could vote for him. TWICE.

This is the district that John McHugh represented. I don’t know when the special election will be held.

I don’t even think the special election has been scheduled yet, has it? I thought that McHugh made his resignation effective upon Senate confirmation, and unless I’m mistaken the Senate hasn’t taken up his confirmation yet and he’s still voting in the House.

Impy, that is an excellent seal, I am sure many will borrow it for future use.

Mark’s recently divorced. Poor might need a sponse to improve his public image in the Senate. Maybe they can hookup and go on a date at the next NARAL rally.
