Hillary Clinton is said to be frustrated with her lack of authority as secretary of state and resentful of the glacial pace of the White House vetting process.
President Obama's picks fly in even if they didn't pay their taxes. But her picks take forever," noted one Democrat.
"Plus, she has no real clout over Holbrooke or Mitchell.
Richard Holbrooke is Obama's "special representative" for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
George Mitchell is "special envoy" to the Middle East. Clinton is said to be considering quitting to retake her old US Senate seat now held by Kristin Gillibrand-- or running for governor, as one rumor has it.
"Her argument will be that Gillibrand is in danger of losing the seat to the Republicans," said a source.

Yup, I think she's one unhappy camper.
~~PING!
Sorry Hillary. The Chicago gang slipped a piece of sheet metal over that “glass ceiling”. LOL! Better luck next time Tweety.
Remember the good old days when women were happy just being the United States Secretary Of State?
Ping.
That must be why she is putting on the poundage. Did you see her in that big red pant suit during the speech. She looked like a balloon.
I wasn’t watching .. did she look that big ?
Shoulda stayed a Senator, Hillary. All the perks, no responsibility. Only realistic challenge to holding that seat forever would have been if Guiliani really, really wanted it.
Dumb choice Miss Rodham. But it was YOUR choice. Made your bed, lay in it, fleas, lice and all.
Ah, finally, the real subject rears up from the slimy depths and casts it’s baleful eye upon the the Precious... the Precious that was to be Hers Alone...
And thunder rolls, and lightning flashes, and little weasels run for cover...
LOLOLOL!
There’s no doubt that she’s been ‘handled’
by Obama, having had the typical authority
of the sec’s office greatly diminished. It’s
been very obvious to observe. Obama got her
good, and I bet she’s really ticked.
She was put there to shut up and stay out of the way. Had she been elected President, she would have done the same. What did she expect?
Clinton can’t do that can she? That’s bullsh%t! She gave it up, to tough! I wish she’d go find a hole somewhere & retire!
to tough = so tough...sorry
She looked like a real blimp.
Wait! You want me to tell you what Senator Obama thinks. Senator Obama is not the President, I am. So you ask my opinion, I will tell you my opinion. I'm not going to be channelling The Kenyan.
Let's see, the harpie shrew and her coked-out lecher pretend-husband got out-maneuvered by the slimy Boy King of Kenya.
Her gig is to stay in Nothingstan oblivion--
--she better watch her six if she plans on busting out.
Hell, I remember when women were happy just being secretaries!
My prediction: She will resign this year to run for governor of NY which will be her launching pad to run for POTUS (Pantsuit of the United States) in 2012.
