No.10 turns on Obama and Clinton for criticising decision to release Lockerbie bomber

President Obama and the US Secretary of State fuelled a fierce American backlash against Britain, claiming Abdelbaset Al Megrahi should have been forced to serve out his jail sentence in Scotland but a senior Whitehall aide said their reaction was disingenuous.
British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahis return.
The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahis release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.
The US was kept fully in touch about everything that was going on with regard to Britains discussions with Libya in recent years and about Megrahi, said the Whitehall aide.
We would never do anything about Lockerbie without discussing it with the US. It is disingenuous of them to act as though Megrahis return was out of the blue.

Fact:
Half of every graduation class, graduates at the bottom. These people go into government.
When governments are small - it matters little, when government enlarges itself - it becomes the horror our founding fathers warned us about.

Let me be the first to say that this prisoner release would not have happened if Bush and Cheney were in office. Imagine if Brown tried to pull this stunt during the Bush Admin. Cheney would have had Brown for breakfast and Brown would have thanked him kindly for the breakfast invitation.
Weakness and capitulation, the hallmarks of the Obama Admin.

Yes, absolutely. Note that this discussion has been going on for some time. Did the Brits say “in recent years” regarding discussions with the WH? Also note that Bush and Cheney didn’t allow it to happen. If the Brits brought it up with the Bush WH, Cheney put the ixnay on it.

Obama and Hillary, dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight hillary is a non-issue. She clearly is clueless on everything and contributing nothing. The TOTUS-reader's handlers got that one completely right.
But ayers and soros and obama are certainly doing that dance.

I guarantee that this is true.
It took MANY DAYS before the US administration peeped a word about this. There was a strong and adverse reaction by the public in UK and in the US before they acted.
They LIED about this by pretending not to know about it.
Thank you #10 Downing for confirming this.

Why would this be a surprise. Everyone, except our Obama-worshipping new media, should have know immediately that Obama had been kept informed on this matter. No way would the Brits have released this murderer of hundreds of Americans without US acquiescence.

I'm here sitting in the wreck of Europe With a map of Europe Spread out in a hall of Versailles And every single nationality and principality have come for a piece of the pie I'm sitting in the wreck of Europe With a map of Europe And the lines and the borders are gone We've got to do this jigsaw puzzle It's an awful muddle But somehow we've got to go on Lawrence of Arabia is waiting in the wings He's got some Arab sheikhs and kings And we're in debt to them somehow Lawrence of Arabia has got this perfect vision Gonna sell him down the river There's no time for him now I think I'm gonna take a piece of Russia And a Piece of Germany And give them to Poland again I'll put together Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia And hope that is how they'll remain Then I'll take a bit of Turkey Then a lot of Turkey This is all quite a heady affair There's Persia and Iraq to pick up And there's Churchill's hiccup And we can't leave it up in the air Woodrow Wilson waves his fourteen points around And says "The time to act is now Won't get this opportunity again" Woodrow Wilson has his fourteen points But Clemenceau turns to Lloyd George And says "You know that God himself had only ten" Today I'm carried by a league of notions (It's a league of notions) By a league of notions I don't think I quite understand (I don't think I understand) I only know from this commotion (From this commotion) There's a chance that we could turn The world in the palm of our hands (We can turn the world in the palm of our hands) Voices in the corridors of power Candles burning hour by hour Still you know that to the victors go the spoils Such a great responsibility to make it fair And there must be some reparations now And don't forget the oil Today I'm carried by a league of notions (It's a league of notions) By a league of notions I don't think I quite understand (I don't think I understand) I only know from this commotion (From this commotion) There's a chance that we could turn The world in the palm of our hands (We can turn the world in the palm of our hands) Pax vobiscum Wo-Oh, Pax vobiscum |
