(CNSNews.com) Cass Sunstein, President Barack Obamas nominee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), has advocated a policy under which the government would presume someone has consented to having his or her organs removed for transplantation into someone else when they die unless that person has explicitly indicated that his or her organs should not be taken.
Under such a policy, hospitals would harvest organs from people who never gave permission for this to be done.

Another [problem] is that it is a hard sell politically, wrote Sunstein and Thaler. More than a few people object to the idea of presuming anything when it comes to such a sensitive matter. For these reasons we think that the best choice architecture for organ donations is mandated choice.
Mandated choice is a process where government forces you to make a decision in this case, whether to opt out of being an organ donor to get something you need, such as a drivers license.
We think that it's time for institutions, including government, to become much more user-friendly by enlisting the science of choice to make life easier for people and by gently nudging them in directions that will make their lives better, they wrote.
Let the creepfest continue...
Next they won’t wait till we’re dead.
There seems to always be something the people just don’t understand, especially with these whack-jobs.
They did “mandated choice” in WA state....you have to inform the DMV guy that you DON’T want to give over another 5 bucks for the state parks when you renew your vehicle license. If you don’t mention it, they just tack 5 bucks onto your bill.
These people are evil.
Obama is a GENIUS!!!!
He will eliniate old people and the disabled along with non-productive youths and RECYCLE THEIR BODY PARTS!!!!
Amazing!!!!
What a DEPTH of knowledge!!!
(Has Himmler come back from the dead in a black body??)
Form a free people setting up a constitutionally limited government, to people whose bodies belong to the government, this is how far we have fallen.
Just when did we deed ownership of our bodies to the state? Organ donor supporters will never answer the question directly.
People should be free to sell their organs, if they so desire. It is called a free marketplace.
Cass Sunstein would be perfect for SCOTUS, except he’s white (sarc)
Or bother with expensive anesthetics.
I didn’t check “yes” on my driver’s license, but I told my husband it was all right with me if he ever found himself having to decide - AND if in HIS judgment it would be the right decision.
But if this law comes to pass, I’ll make sure to check “no” and there will be no potential organs from me.
I guess you haven’t watched the video in post #2.
"Presumed consent." lol.
Anyone that removes any of my loved ones organs without their willful and written authorization, in advance, would force me to presumed consent for me to make the organ thieves—— donors themselves.
This crap is insane.
Most of my parts are worn out, but I certainly will not have a problem in donating whatever will help someone else, but that is my decision to make... NOT the damn government or anyone else.
I can see it now, the person’s head will be placed on a mannequin’s body and placed in the casket.
liberalism, the cult of death....their hands dripping with blood for the last 30 some years...they love to wallow in death....
That’s GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loves Monty Python!!!!
They don’t wait until we’re dead. They are in the process of sucking the life out of us now.
Cass Sunstein will never have to worry about having her brain removed as it is total unacceptable for reuse.
