Obama Takes a Page From Alinsky Handbook

~ EXCERPT ~

Throughout Barack Obama’s campaign for the White House, he never tired of referring to the three years he spent as a community organizer on Chicago’s South Side and its relevance to his life since then.

However generic the term may sound to the average ear, it had a very specific meaning to young Barack Obama. It was a term of art used by the self-described Marxist tactician Saul Alinsky, author of “Rules for Radicals” and erstwhile mentor of Obama.

As an organizer with the Developing Communities Project in the mid-1980s, the young Obama learned Alinsky’s tactics, and found a way to bring about the radical changes he and his friends had discussed during their days at New York’s Columbia University.

In his first book “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race And Inheritance,” Obama writes that he chose his friends at Columbia carefully — chiefly politically active black students, Marxist professors, structural feminists and punk rock performance poets.

Obama’s affinity for radical politics didn’t end after he started getting into local Chicago politics. According to the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the president participated in a 1996 forum co-sponsored by the Young Democratic Socialists of America chapter at the University of Chicago and the Chicago DSA during his first run for the Illinois State Senate.

The Chicago Democratic Socialists, in a 2000 mailing to members, described the positions Obama took during this meeting as “well within the mainstream of European social democracy.”

There is no question as to what Obama is. The question is how do we stop him before he turns this country into a third world Nazi dictatorship? All he is looking for is some sort of excuse to take complete kontrol. His forces are in place.

Of course, the big difference is that Patton was proactive. He read Rommel's book BEFORE Rommel attacked using his published tactics.

0bama is using Alinsky's handbook and no one is doing a damned thing about it. By the time 0bama acts, it's too late.

In relation to health care, yes, he took a page. ““If you start with nothing, and demand 100 percent, then compromise for 30 percent, then you are 30 percent ahead,” Alinsky wrote.” If he gets any part of this health care bill, he has won because it will just grow from there. It must be stopped totally.

Exactly right. In selling an item, you ask for more than you actually want, so you give the buyer ‘leeway’ in negotiating the price. Knowing all along you would have taken less to start with. Obama does that on ALL issues. We are outraged at ‘how much’ they are asking and demanding. All the while he didn’t really want ‘all’ he was asking for, just part of it. Or 30%. He still wins. WE NEED TO SAY LEAVE ALL OF HEALTHCARE ALONE. Remember he only wants to get his foot in the door. He knew all along he would not ‘immediately’ be able to takeover all of the healthcare system. But in ‘increments’.....he’s not looking for the total takeover, oh, if he got great, but he wasn’t expecting that. He just wants the FIRST increment to the government takeover of healthcare. He is expert on Saul Alinsky tactics, and way ahead of us in the game.

It also happens in Congress. When you add the ear marks it becomes the same idea. Take what you can get, forget the things that will destroy us. Our whole system needs to get back to what it was supposed to be.

Consequently, the president today avoids invoking divisive and inflammatory terms such as socialism, neocolonialism, or patriarchy during his speeches because he knows that doing so would alienate those in the middle class whom he needs to maintain his power base and because such concepts are outside their experience, which Alinsky strongly warns against.

He doesn't SPEAK those terms, but he clearly BELIEVES in them, and is trying his best to implement those ideas before he's found out by the majority. He won't care if he's a one-term President, as long as he can change the laws and working of the US government enough, before that term is up.

all he did was take a page?

Yes, this qualifies for entry in the "understatement of the millenium" contest.
