Both Hitler's infamous Gestapo and Mussolini's OVRA (Organization for Vigilance and Repression of Anti-Fascism) were secret-police organizations that had as their aim the control and prevention of political dissent.
Though Heinrich Himmler modeled his Gestapo force after OVRA, it became much more violent than its Italian counterpart. A German law, passed in 1936, exempted the Gestapo from judicial oversight, which in turn exempted its henchmen from answering to administrative courts.
All this, of course, is enough to give most Americans concern, given that the increasingly red administration in Washington has been moving daily toward installing radicals in newly created positions of vast authority - radicals who answer to no one but the president.
The two men who have raised the most eyebrows recently are "green czar" Van Jones (a self-avowed communist) and FCC "Chief Diversity Officer" Mark Lloyd. Lloyd is the man BHO has put in charge of, in essence, eliminating conservative talk radio and Fox News by forcing them to subsidize their competition. This may be where Americans will have to make their last stand or go quietly to the gulag mumbling, "I thought it could never happen here."
The rapidly emerging dictatorship in Washington fully realizes that socialist Democrats are going to lose a huge number of House and Senate seats in 2012, most of them by a landslide. But they also know that a convenient "state of emergency" (as in, Hugo Chavez) is all it would take to "postpone" the elections.
Further, they realize that even if Republicans took control of the House or Senate, or both, there's nothing they could do about the czars, because they answer only to Der Fuhrbama. And if most of the Republican winners fall into the same old Hatch-McCain-Graham mold (you know, the guys who praised Ted Kennedy for decades while he moved the U.S. ever more rapidly down the road to socialism), there will be no calls for repeal, rescind, revoke, and abolish.
Which leaves the job of taking back America to everyday Americans. Unfortunately, most Americans are understandably timid because they believe that the Obama thugs have now infiltrated all aspects of American life and that if they speak out they will be harshly silenced.
Which brings me back to Hitler's Gestapo and Mussolini's OVRA. There is a little-known fact about these two secret-police organizations that is worth pondering. Both of them purposely created the impression that their thugs were everywhere, which paralyzed the masses with fear. And in Germany, that fear led millions of people to the gas chambers.
What made it so easy for these mass murderers was that their victims did not know about one of the best-kept secrets of the Gestapo, a secret that did not come out until well after World War II: The Gestapo was able to instill fear into the hearts and minds of the German people by making them believe that its agents were hiding around every street corner. But the truth is that their omnipresence was purposely exaggerated.
The strategy of making people believe that you are everywhere, at all times, is an effective one - so long as they do not discover that it's nothing more than an intimidation tactic. This is something that all Americans should ponder as the ranks of the U.S. version of a newer, slicker Gestapo continue to grow.
Ponder away ... think about it long and hard ... but not too long. Time is running short.

Yes, the walls have ears. But that’s a two-edged sword: The other side has to worry about who’s listening to/watching them!
Big Brother is being watched too, you can count on it.

[1] Heinrich Himmler didn’t found the Gestapo. Hermann Goering did; as Minister President of Prussia. The Gestapo was formed from the Political Police Section of the Prussian Police, which ahd a counterpart in every German State. What Himmler did was combine them all when he became the first [and last] national police chief of Germany.
[2] The Gestapo was commanded by a former officer who ran the anti-Nazi desk in the Bavarian Police, Heinrich Mueller [he wasn’t allowed to join the NSDAP until 1939]. It was joined with the Criminal Police and the SS SD to form the Security Police, all under the control of SS. Lt. Gen. Reinhard Heydrich.
If you have never seen this movie, you must. My worse fears is that this will happen again in my lifetime
Sophie Scholl: The Final Days
Sophie Scholl was executed by guillotine by the Third Reich after she was arrested and found guilty of distributing anti-Nazi leaflets at her college campus and for this she was beheaded along with several of the other brave young God-fearing people of the “White Rose”, an underground Nazi resistance movement. This is a dramatization of that event, it is a movie that will not leave you and will have you thinking about it for days after viewing. I highly recommend this film. I found myself drawn into this movie like few other movies will do. This is brilliant stuff. The tension becomes almost unbearable. The depiction of Freisler (The judge), which might seem over the top, but is quite consistent with accounts and actual film clips of the trial, maybe even understated. He was diabolical, tyrannical and very hot tempered.

Ah, sort of like the "diamond formation" of ACORN plants at a "town hall" meeting? Only four of them needed, planted at the front, back, and sides of the crowd, but in so doing appearing to be greater in number?
It really is. And nothing short of a clean sweep can remedy it. But now that the vermin are in, only the rule of law can get 'em out, and that could take a long time.
Freisler was originally a Communist, who switched over to the Nazis. Killed when a bomb hit the courtroom he was in. No loss.

The "postponement" of an election will be the fatal step for the Obama administration. That touches off the powder keg.

Laughable hyperbole.

Complete BS. Americans are speaking loudly and clearly, by the millions.
And the author offers no solutions to obuma’s “gestapo,” which makes this piece a “stupid rant.”
YET ON THE OTHER HAND, there is a longer-term precedent that speaks in favor of this author's viewpoint, albeit over a much longer time-frame. Britain has had much of our same traditions and Common Law, a vigorous and active democracy and media, yet has over the past decades systematically reduced its individual freedoms on the basis of equality. The migration of former colonial subjects into the British Isles has made this all too identifiable as radically different traditions are assigned equal weights to the detriment of British Heritage.
Can this happen here? Well we have a very large illegal immigrant influx that is more and more claimed by the cultural left. The 'core values' of the USofA are undeniably different from what they were 50 years ago let alone a century past. Obedience to our written Constitution as the Supreme Law of the land is under open debate and even assault. Political expediency is an active animal seeking advantage wherever it sees a chink.
So as for my opinion on this article and this author's premise, I would say not in the short run but look out for the longer term. We are being poisoned by professional politicians who see expediency as the way for reelection and the Constitution as a quaint and antique barrier to their continuing power base.

Does it work that way in this country? Has any emergency ever caused an election to be put off?
