Report: U.K. Used Lockerbie Bomber as Bargaining Chip for Oil (Duh...!)
The Sunday Times ^ | Saturday, August 29, 2009 | The Sunday Times

The British government decided it was “in the overwhelming interests of the United Kingdom” to make Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, eligible for return to Libya, leaked ministerial letters reveal.

Gordon Brown’s government made the decision after discussions between Libya and BP over a multi-million-pound oil exploration deal had hit difficulties. These were resolved soon afterwards.

The letters were sent two years ago by Jack Straw, the justice secretary, to Kenny MacAskill, his counterpart in Scotland, who has been widely critizised for taking the formal decision to permit Megrahi’s release.

keep in mind that just the other day, the U.S. supports and defends muslim nations that allow the practice of forced marriages between 10 year old girls and 80 year old men, just so we can have access to oil.

so i guess that would be “Pedophilia for Oil.”

But i guess its different, because we need it and our leaders walk in gardens and hold their hands.

All presidents are guilty of this strange relationship since oil was discovered.

I beg to differ, we don't need their oil at all. We have more than enough for our own needs within our borders and off-shore. We could (and should) be totally oil independent.

Even the pope will shake the hand of a man that promotes pedophilia (by western standards)

The ‘special relationship’ fostered through Roosevelt-Churchill and Reagan-Thatcher is over—absolutely and completely.

This is outrageous. Let’s hope the next terror attack strikes Gordon Brown and the appeasers. Let’s hope BP is a target, too.

I beg to differ, we don't need their oil at all. We have more than enough for our own needs within our borders and off-shore. We could (and should) be totally oil independent.

Except for the fact that environMENTALISTS are running the country! Because of people like Algore who have made MILLIONS off of scare tactics. We are a bunch of idiots if we keep letting these people tell us we can't drill in our own country!

Instead, we are turning our country over to avowed communist who have been given HALF A BILLION DOLLARS of 'stimulus' money to create 'green jobs'. PUKE!

The administration's "Green Jobs" czar, Van Jones, has a "very checkered past" deep-rooted in radical politics, including black nationalism, anarchism, and communism. The broadcast network newscasts have mostly failed to report on Mr. Jones's past political affiliations which are lock-step with the network's downplay of coverage regarding President Obama's associations with the former radical and terrorist William Ayers during the election.

Jones is a San Francisco extremist who admits to having been "radicalized in jail."

Jones views environmental activism as a means to advance the ultra-left's Orwellian notion of "justice." He has referred to himself not only as a "communist," but as a "rowdy black nationalist."

Meet Van Jones, 'Green czar' for the Barack Obama administration.

More than five months after the Obama administration announced the hiring of its "green jobs czar," Van Jones, the White House has refused to explain whether it knew of Jones admitted black nationalist and radical communist history and just who hired the adviser.

Maybe the problem isn’t repubs, or dems..it is GOVERNMENT as a whole. We need some radical new tech so we can totally rid ourselves of their incessant foolishness. Problem is..such tech probably won’t come for another 500 years. Pity.
