My 17 y/o daughter and I were talking about this a few days ago.

One thing that was floated here on FR awhile back was that BO gets the boot, Biden serves out the next 2-3 years as a rubber-stamp figurehead, and the party insiders run the show. I could see that happening. Biden would be dumb enough to go along with it, or be convinced that he was "in charge" when it's really not the case....

However, my guess is that Dems lose big in 2010, and any speculation is moot at that point. A neutered president is the Republican's biggest asset, if that happens.

Honestly? I think that the Dem's current problems stem from the fact that BO *is* in charge. They're further exacerbated by the fact that he's arrogant enough to force his authority on others.

He's a micromanager, in a position that isn't a good fit for micromanagement.

There *are* smart operatives in the Democrat camp. Their problem, IMHO, is that BO is too busy stroking his own ego to listen to them.
