No it’s not.

It’s building $8.5 billion in new ghettos.

There has never, ever been a public housing project in America that has not become a ghetto.

These are going to be put into currently middle class areas and will turn them into war zones.

Please report back to us after the house next to yours is converted to Section 8 housing.

You do realize that government built housing projects set the rules for tenants. One of the first is "no firearms." Do you really want millions more Americans living under the Marxist thumb of the FedGov? Indoctrinating more Americans to accept a nanny-state and the loss of liberties that goes with it?

Well, except for the whole “subsidized housing” part.

EVERYWHERE that “Section 8” housing is placed turns into a shit hole.

They did it to themselves - if they can't add and subtract they shouldn't be looking to buy anything. This does not include those that lost their jobs - that's unforeseen.

Tell that to my parents, who are currently in the process of buying a 32 unit apartment complex. They are getting a great deal on a foreclosure property that is actually halfway decent and has a high occupancy rate. The last thing they want is their mid-six figure investment going down the tubes with government money and government tenants.

So my folks are taking a huge leap and risk with their money and you say it’s a better thing? No, it’s not. The government needs to get their fat fingers off of the housing market—it’s their fault we’re in the mess we’re in to begin with.
