Look Here: the Republican Alternative to ObamaCare – Excellent!
Family Security Matters ^ | 8/13/09 | The Editors

As the debate about ObamaCare rages nationwide (a summary of HR 3200 can be seen here), the idea of government taking over health care services is becoming less and less appealing. Think about it: The federal government runs Amtrak, the Post Office, and state governments run their own DMVs. Amtrak cannot turn a profit; the Post Office is planning on closing numerous offices nationwide and is considering ending six-day service. And waiting in line at the DMV just to renew your driver’s license can be an hours-long ordeal to which no one looks forward to except those with no lives whatsoever.

: Rein in Out-of-Control Costs..............

Does this include tort reform? Because if it doesn’t it’s costs will continue to be out-of-control to make up for the horrible lawsuits. (Thanks John Edwards!!!)

Absolutely. Let them demonstrate they are capable of resolving SOMETHING and THEN we’ll consider letting them get their filthy hands on OUR lifestyle and $$$$$$

I got a fax from Price yesterday asking me to be part of an advisory panel on health reform. I haven't decided if I am going to call back. It doesn't seem to me the Republican response is going to really fix the problem or is even a step in the right direction so I doubt I can get on board with it. The best answer to all of our problems is to begin restricting the gummint in all areas. As Reynauldus Magnus said, "Government is the problem, not the solution". Getting behind another Rube Goldberg device that will "make the contraption continue to run a little longer" isn't actually fixing things. It is time for real solutions that are really sustainable and these solutions need to progressively clear the old "fixes" that aren't sustainable, like Social Security and Medicare.

Who knows, maybe the best answer will ultimately end up being letting the libtards have what they want and let the system come crashing down and then the adults can go to work cleaning up the mess they have made.

How about a federal War on Healthcare?

If that is as successful as the War on Poverty and the War on (some) Drugs we’ll be the healthiest nation on the planet inside 10 years.

This is not a plan - it’s talking points. To say we promote Access, Portability, Better Delivery, and Lower Cost; is useless. It’s the means of getting there that are important. The response needs to focus on moving away, rather than toward more failed government intervention.

The focus should be on these major issues:

Tort Reform
HSA’s (Health Savings Accounts)
Emergency Care - Limitations and Definitions
Mandate Reform - Removing the absurd mandates placed on insurers.

(The WoP and WoD only cause poverty and drug use to flourish and prosper, so I figure a federal war on heathcare would, again, do just the opposite!)
