The Democrats are into the word game again. Everything they are, and everything they promote, and everything they intend to force into our way of life is hidden in words.
PROGRESSIVE not LIBERAL
PRO CHOICE not ABORTION
INVESTMENT not TAX
MOB not CONCERNED CITIZENS
SENATOR not MA'AM
GAY not HOMOSEXUAL
HOMOPHOBIC not MORAL REVULSION
To mention a few that come to mind. Democrats have a Madison Avenue mentality with a Goebbles bent. .. "Tell a lie enough times it eventually becomes truth."
Words influence the uneducated and uninformed just as words entice impulse buying in the marketing of a product or service.
HOPE and CHANGE or slogans like YES WE CAN! bombarding the masses daily in the news, in a speech, or in promotional spot have an effect very similar to hypnosis. A suggestion reinforced over and over becomes reality.
Now we have another Democrat word game... It's not HEALTH CARE REFORM any more, it's HEALTH INSURANCE REFORM
If you look at the democrat base, you'll get a good idea of how the liberals have put a pretty face on the vilest of passions.
What is "choice?" The brutal dismemberment of a human infant while it's still alive.
What is "Gay?" Two grown men fondling and inserting their genitals into each other orifices.
What is "Welfare?" Sloth, uncleanliness, and being rewarded for living a wasted life.
What is "Environmentalism?" The facist confiscation of every piece of Americas private property.
What is "Universal Health care?" Absolute control over every citizens blood, flesh, and bones.
This list of perversions and distortions goes on and on. When you see liberalism without it's mask, it's not only ugly, it's grotesk and horrifying.
Sound bite words. That’s all they know.
words, just words!
The Marxist authoritarian oligarchy are changing the wording.
NEWSPEAK.
You forgot “Affirmative Action” : There’s nothing affirmative about it. It’s more appropriate to call it “State Sanctioned Discrimination.”
Everyone does it including the republicans.
It’s called marketing.
The politicians will say, when asked a question, “I do not approve of that provision in the health bill”. As Specter did. They are playing on words and are very good at it. They will not say “I will vote against the Bill.” People need to ask them if they will vote for or against the Bill. Get specific answers. If they don’t answer, make a commitment to ask the question again. The next person that takes the mic, ask the question until you get an answer.
What do you think my Madison Avenue comment meant?
Don’t forget that it’s “dilation and excision”....not “late-term abortion” or the dreaded “partial birth abortion.”
.....dilation and excision just has a nice ring to it....like they are simply removing a benign tumor.
Why don't you give me an example of Republican... or more specifically conservative word manipulation.
I'm having difficulty finding ... anything ???

Before the 1994 Republican Revolution, Clinton implied "Family Values" meant Government Funded Welfare.

Remeber how extremely critical it is to control the langauge. You control the debate and the framing of your side and the other side, through the language.
