Bigotry assumes many forms, hides behind many facades, but always it is the same; the social demonization of entire groups, classes or races of people in an effort to make them appear inferior and detrimental by their very existence.
In the wake of a nasty multiple shooting at a Pittsburgh, PA-area fitness club by a not-so-clearly psychotic man identified as George Sodini, America’s gun prohibitionists – led by the Violence Policy Center and Freedom States Alliance – are clamoring for restrictions or repeal of concealed carry statutes.
In the case against legally-armed citizens, the VPC has even manufactured an innuendo-riddled “study” to support their prejudices. My colleague, Cleveland Gun Rights Examiner Daniel White, writes about the shooting here. Their hardly subliminal argument appears to be that citizens licensed to carry concealed handguns for personal protection are a threat to the community. This contention is based on six shooting incidents over the past couple of years in which the gunman had, or apparently had, a carry permit.

After the vote in Congress on a national CCW reciprocity, the liberals realize how powerful this group really is......therefore, it must be destroyed via demonization.

Now I do think VPC is right about one thing: government shouldn't be licensing carriers. It's none of their business what we do or don't carry and having our name on a list and bowing before their might to get it on there is an insult and an infringement of our civil right.

They could 'socially demonize entire groups, classes or races of people' by listening to Six Hours of Police Calls over the Internet.
Of course all the calls for 'Man with Gun', 'Shots Fired' and 'Suspect with gun fleeing 'south', etc are for people who DON'T legally buy their gun, carry their gun, or naturally shot at someone with it. As they be a 'protected class' who VOTE democratic. So when the bodies pile higher than in the Sunni Triangle who gets the blame? Guns and by innuendo, White Gun Owners 300 miles from Chicago who avoid Chicago like the plague anyway.
I've been listening for about two weeks now to the CPD radio calls and have YET to hear of one armed suspect being .... (drum roll) ... 'white'. Yes, a shock isn't it. Every single one is a Black or 'Hispanic'. And when a suspect being looked for is known to the PD they invariably are ... (drum roll) ... Gang Members and Felons, and the beat cops are warned accordingly.
Yep, Daley and the gun grabbers love getting up to that mic after a typical weekend of carnage, huffing and puffing about illegal guns, the evil gun industry and gun shops too close to *his city*, like say in Kansas (/s). BUT - I have yet to here him OR the gun grabbers say a peep to the people who RAISED THESE ANIMALS! Hell he can't - they were and are gang bangers too! And again, they vote.
Two Saturdays ago at approx 6:30 am an off duty Chi Cop was jumped by three black 'yutes' (18-20yo) and robbed of his SERVICE HANDGUN! For some odd reason that wasn't in the news and Daley didn't hold an angry press conference blaming 'illegal guns'. To bad too. I was REALLY waiting to hear that one!
Oh, and yesterday morning a Mother called 9-1-1 about her daughter being HELP CAPTIVE by her 'Boyfriend' in his car. He just happened to have a gun, was in a gang, already had a warrant out on him, annnnnnnd had two gang bangers with him. Yep just another typical day of KIDNAPPING in Chicago.
And somehow that's the fault of some gun owning farmer in McLean county who should have all HIS guns taken away.
