I was there as was Race. There were approximately 200-225 people. The crowd was overwhelmingly opposed to BO's socialist health care and they let him know. The meeting itself was a farce. First Murphy would only speak to those who signed up but the crowd grew so large he abandon that idea and tried to speak to everyone. The proved ineffective as only those closest to him could heart what Murphy was saying. The police had to move us about 50 feet from Stop and Shop because the Store manager complained due to the size of the crowd.

He had an aide walking through the crowd trying to pitch BO's snake oil but nobody was buying. He listened to people express our strong opposition. I asked him why he wasn't taking notes. His response is that he would remember all the comments. I told the aide this should have been a town hall forum indoors with a PA system. The aide stated Murphy didn't expect such a large crowd. People didn't accept the explanation considering town hall crowds across the country have been large. I left at that point. I'm sure Race will have more to add.

Other than the metro sexual who tried to pick a fight with me because I told him I didnt want Rush Limbaug to control my health care, but I wanted my doctor to and then made fun of his manicure and fancy shoes

I had to bring my teenage daughter to her new job as a paper girl. The papers are delivered at 3 PM. She wanted to do this job for the last 2 years and is very excited about it.

Why is Courtney going to be in Woodstock on Thursday? That is about a 35 mile drive from Enfield. What is he doing way out in Woodstock (pop. 7500)? Enfield is the largest town in his district. I could understand Groton or Norwich. They are the 2nd and 3rd largest towns.

Woodstock is out in the northeast corner of the state. It is a long drive from anywhere.

I REALLY wanted to be there today. I would have been if I didn't have to accompany my mother to a doctor appt. in Hartford (and my husband couldn't get out of work). I hope there are more 'RAT town hall meetings in CT, but I have a feeling they're going to be hiding from us this month.
