This just in my email box from those leftist guerrilla warriors over at Media Matters. They are launching an ad campaign to attack Lou Dobbs for mentioning the birth certificate controversy.
From the announcement email, really a shakedown for funds (Is George Soros starting to lose money now too?):
"As countless other media figures criticize Dobbs, CNN is making a mockery of its claim of being "the most trusted name in news." Jon Klein, the network's president, continues to downplay Dobbs' promotion of the birther theories, saying he is merely covering "the phenomenon of the doubters" -- even though Dobbs himself has questioned the authenticity of President Obama's birth certificate. CNN can't continue to condone Dobbs' birtherism and expect to be taken seriously. Jon Klein owes viewers -- and his network -- more. So what's next?
"This week, we are launching a major television ad campaign against CNN and Lou Dobbs. We have purchased airtime on Dobbs' show, as well as on Fox News and MSNBC. The ad calls out CNN for allowing Dobbs to relentlessly promote this racially charged fringe conspiracy theory on its network. It will air starting on Tuesday, and we need your help to run it as many times as possible. Preview the ad and please make a donation today so that we can keep the pressure on CNN"
I've been waiting for the "racist" charge to be thrown into this boiling pot. And Media Matters didn't disappoint. There it is. They're calling the birth certificate issue a "racially charged fringe conspiracy."
I'm tired of people in this country wanting to have things both ways. We're no more racists for wanting proof of the American part of the president's hyphenated heritage than the folks who touted said president as the "First African-American President" nonstop to win him the office. If one wants to be called "African-American," then ante up with the long-form, proof-positive American birth certificate. Not the computer print-out, the one that has the name of the hospital and the attending physician's signature. Simple.
Question: Will the Media Matters simply add more fuel to the quickly escalating flames of the already too-hot-to-handle birth certificate melee?
Stay tuned...Media Matters is certainly adding a spark to my dreary dog days of summer.
It’s like Christmas in August!!!!
Dobbs addressing the issue really scared them. Having CNN viewers hear the truth is unacceptable.
Why does a non citizen think he has the right to control our lives?
I love the smell of desperation in the afternoon!
The little girlies are get’n scaaared! ;-)
This could seriously blow up in their faces. So far it’s been a fringe thing - this will bring it to a nationwide audience.
I’ve never been a big fan of the cerificate of birth theory - but the way they’re fighting it tooth and nail, I’m beginning to wonder.
They don’t need to spend money on a commercial - just release the damn birth certificate.
And why don’t we go after it under the freedom of information act?
I can’t stand how we get labeled as racist for pointing out things that have nothing to do with race. Barack Obama is an extremist leftist who wasn’t born in the US and is inelligible to be president. How does any of that have anything to do with race? If we had done the equivalent, and wanted to prop up an ex-nazi German as president, they would have a field day, even though the communists were worse and killed more people than Hitler.
Barrack Hussein Osama is leading us to communist rule. The FEMA camps have already been erected. That’s the problem. We are not racists.
Don’t ya just love it when Liberals are in full panic mode?
1. Obama thinks, for some reason, that holding out for a while longer will help him.
2. The birth certificate has something embarassing on it, like a different father's name.
3. The birth certificate doesn't exist.

I’ll take #3 for $1 million, please, Alex.
Thanks...
I don’t see anything about birth certificates (which is a requirement to run for president), or college records.
