Fear and trembling are brewing among the anti-birther brigade. For evidence look no further than a sad and confused polemic in the LA Times against conservative truth-seekers by leftist comedian Bill Maher.
In setting out to attack legitimate public concern over such issues as Barack Obamas birth certificate and Senator John Kerrys earlier claims about his Vietnam War experience, Maher only deepens the growing American suspicion about the lefts commitment to the truth.
Even worse, Mahers pathetic tirade against conservatives never rises above an eighth-grade schoolyard tantrum, which should raise further concerns about the effects of drinking kool-aid on a person of otherwise normal intelligence. In short, although Maher tries to pose as a hip, erudite, and progressive mouthpiece of the left his essay raises disturbing questions about the state of the modern liberal mind.
For example, Maher attempts to lampoon those who simply want to see Obamas original birth certificate:
And there's nothing anyone can do to convince these folks. You could hand them, in person, the original birth certificate and have a video of Obama emerging from the womb with Don Ho singing in the background ... and they still wouldn't believe it. Which raises the question: Why, in this country, is it always the religious right that won't take anything on faith?
Well, Bill, youve got an interesting theory here but for some reason you dont want to test it. The fact is that the original birth certificate has not been shown. Why?
Maher, incredibly, goes on to blame the media for not being courageous enough in smothering the lies about John Kerry and the Vietnam War:
And once these stories get out there, they're hard to stamp out because our media do such a lousy job of speaking truth to stupid. Vietnam, Iraq and the Spanish-American War were all sold on lies that were unchallenged or even abetted by the media. Clinton got impeached and Kerry got destroyed in large part because the media didn't have the guts to say, This is nonsense.
In the twisted calculations of Bill Maher, in other words, the mainstream media was pro-Vietnam war and anti-Kerry. Amazing.
Maher tries to rally Americas deluded scribes into embracing the reality of Obamas birth status by dismissing the reality and import of what scientists call evidence:
That's why it's so important that we the few, the proud, the reality-based attack this stuff before it has a chance to fester and spread. This isn't a case of Democrats versus Republicans. It's sentient beings versus the lizard people, and it is to them I offer this deal: I'll show you Obama's birth certificate when you show me Sarah Palin's high school diploma.
Thats a deal Maher. You show us well show you. Except Maher doesnt really mean it. All of his arguments in the LA Times piece are based on counterfactuals or on the situation in some possible world that is not this real world.
In our real world the original birth certificate has not been made available to the public. But in Mahers pretend world it has. In his pretend world the birth certificate exists. So Maher has settled the dispute of Obamas eligibilty to be President only if we live in Bill Mahers make-believe world. Does the birth certificate exist in our world? Who knows?
After reading Mahers embarrassing diatribe one can only conclude that the left is worried very worried.
It would all end if they just show the birth cert. And end badly for those pushing to see it.
Just show the cert Mr President...
afterBirthers. LOL.
I’m 98% sure that showing his vault copy BC will not end badly for us, but rather for the marxist qusiling.
You said — It would all end if they just show the birth cert. And end badly for those pushing to see it. Just show the cert Mr President...

From what Ive posted elsewhere...
The issue for an overwhelming majority of the posters that Ive seen, comes down to being able to *see the birth certificate*...
Now, as Ive pointed out from since the election, right here on Free Republic is that there is a problem that everyone has, in seeing the birth certificate. That problem is there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to show his birth certificate.
And people have tried for over a year now, and its obviously been *proven* that there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to show his birth certificate, or else someone would have cited the law, to a judge, and there would have been a court order to do so. Thus, thats *beyond dispute* now that there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to show his birth certificate.
Therefore, that brings us to the *solution* automatically. The citizens *create a law* that requires a candidate to show his birth certificate. And thats why Ive been proposing from since the time of the elections that a state law must be enacted in order to *legally require* a candidate to show his birth certificate, or else he cannot be placed on the ballot.
So far, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Arizona have acted on this legislation and have started the process (no one has had it signed into law yet, though...).
Theres your solution to showing the birth certificate and so people should get on it with their state legislators and get it finished.
Maybe the left’s version of Obama’s birth certificate is a hallucination, in which case they are the crazy ones.
Yes, and this coming week doesn't look like it's going to go very well for them either.
We’re geting scanned for sure.
Just stick with facts and reasoned thought.
After-Birthers!!
LMAO!!
Really, if you think about, any article on the subject either in support of the theory he was born out of the country or in denial is good.
Each and every one of them probably tickle a few regular Americans to think “Hey... I had to show a drivers license to cash a check and this dude doesn’t even have to show a birth certificate to be prez! What gives with that???”
I'm not sure that is actually true, conspiracy's being the money maker they are, but I would sure like to see it for myself after obfuscation that has gone on over this.
You said — but...but...but....if there is nothing to it, as the anti-birthers claim, and WHY are they trembling and in fear?
—
I think the *more telling question* is “Why hasn’t anyone seen the birth certificate after a year of asking, political persuasion, court cases and one election, and complaints continuing all the way up to the present time?”
See Post #9 for the answer and for the solution...
I hope that all of this about BHO’s birth certificate is true. I would like to see this guy summarily removed from office and prosecuted for fraud. Putting a majority of the congress under lock and key wouldn’t be a bad idea either. These people, with Obama as their pivot man, have made a mockery of this Republic.
I fail to see how it would end badly for those seeking his documentation to prove his Eligibility. This will (hopefully) never happen again. The SRM has failed miserably to do their job.
Most Liberals are mentally stuck in 8th grade: the scrawny boys who got chosen last in gym class (Maher), and the fugly girls who didn't get asked to dance (the View).
And they carry that grudge into adulthood against successful businessmen (Wall St.) and attractive conservative women (Sarah Palin).
Liberalism is a mental disorder originating in Jr. High.
