The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 28% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12. Thats the lowest rating yet recorded for President Obama (see trends).
Forty-nine percent (49%) now say that Americas best days have come and gone. Just 38% believe they are still to come. Thirty-four percent (34%) say the country is heading in the right direction. Seventy-five percent (75%) want the Federal Reserve to be audited.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter.
Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That is the lowest level of total approval yet recorded for this President. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove. A plurality of voters now believe the President views American society as unfair and discriminatory.
It is important to remember that the Rasmussen Reports job approval ratings are based upon a sample of likely voters. Some other firms base their approval ratings on samples of all adults. President Obama's numbers are always several points higher in a poll of adults rather than likely voters. That's because some of the President's most enthusiastic supporters, such as young adults, are less likely to turn out to vote.
Just 23% believe health care costs will go down if health care reform is passed. Most (53%) expect prices would rise and 50% expect the quality of care would decline.
Republicans retain a slight edge on the Generic Congressional Ballot and most voters still have an unfavorable opinion of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Fifty-four percent (54%) now say interest rates will be higher in a year. Thats a 20-point jump since April.
The third posing in 8 minutes. Is this a record?

When it reaches 13%, I will actually go out and buy some Champaigne. And I don’t drink.
This needs to be combined with a full court press of all the legislators who are returning home, especially the Blue Dogs.
Here’s the bad news. He will ignore it; he won!
He’s got the D-party by the shorties and he’ll use every bit of his stroke to implement his agenda.
Finally tanking in the polls. America is waking up.
The reality of high taxes, government control and a President who is not a natural born citizen is setting in.
Good news. Thank you, God.
Hussein and Pelosi are sweating.

Also, I think a donors list would be nice, kind of like at my school, it encourages people to donate because they don’t want their name not to be on the list.
In theory, yes. However, the lower his polls, the more Congressional Dems will distance themselves from him in the name of self-preservation...
“for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country.”
I’ll happily join you in a glass. Yippee!
The point isn’t what he personally thinks about his low numbers. What’s important is what those in his party, like the “Blue Dogs” think. If they see him plummeting, they will know people no longer support his healthscare and other legislative debacles, and they will feel they will gain political ground by opposing him as well.
