Many people hoped that the election of a black President of the United States would mark our entering a "post-racial" era, when we could finally put some ugly aspects of our history behind us.No way! There are too many people making a living on this crap. Including Gates.
To: jazusamo
A right thinking black president would be attacked by all liberals as an Uncle Tom. Imagine Clarence Thomas or Alan Keyes in the Oval Office. The media and the leftists kooks would declare war.

An 18th century philosopher said, "When I speak I put on a mask. When I act I am forced to take it off." Barack Obama's mask slipped for a moment last week but he quickly recovered, with the help of the media. But we should never forget what we saw.

Thomas Sowell says more, more profoundly, in fewer sentences than any other writer. After reading his columns, I hate to put anything in the comments. He’s already said it all, and my writing looks bad by comparison.

I’d rather imagine Sowell in the Oval Office.

Love Sowell. One of the finest minds of our time.

Imagine Clarence Thomas or Alan Keyes in the Oval Office.
I do. Frequently. It’s like a breath of fresh air. And then it’s back to the sewer aka reality.
To: jazusamo
Thanks for posting Dr. Sowell's article.
For "community organizers" as well, racial resentments are a stock in trade. President Obama's background as a community organizer has received far too little attention, though it should have been a high-alert warning that this was no post-racial figure.
Cha-Ching!
