The person who called it in was very polite..and just trying to protect the neighborhood.

I can’t figure out why the 911 dispatcher was so rude over the mention of the suitcases.

The one thing that the Glob failed to report that was reported by Michelle McPhee on wtkk 96.9 was that there were 9 breakins in the area...Including one at that same apartment area a week before the incident.
I would expect everyones senses were heightned because of this.

Can't comment on manners, but I'd be rather skeptical if suitcases on the porch was the reason given for thinking there was a break-in. In a predominantly white suburb, absent some kind of noisy altercation, neighbors would probably take this to mean that the occupant of said house was about to embark on some travel.
