We continue to pore through the 1,018 pages of the House health care reform bill (commonly known as Obamacare) in an effort to compare what it says to the public pronouncements of U.S. President Barack Obama, Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and others in the Democratic leadership.
...Were referring to the bills provisions for caring for what it calls the mentally retarded. Found at the very end of Page 389 and the very beginning of Page 390 of this quite confusing piece of proposed legislation is the governments plan for taking care of the intellectually disabled or developmentally disabled, as those worthy and deserving citizens are actually called these days.
We also find on Page 424, Section 1233 under the title Advance Care Planning Consultation a mandate that all persons considered elderly (we think they mean those 65 years of age and older) under the definitions contained within the bill must meet with a care provider (called a practitioner) every 5 years to discuss end of life issues such as the need to ponder upon when would be the right time, in essence, to discontinue life-prolonging medical care and receipt of services.
Somehow, we cant escape the memory of Soylent Green, the 1973 movie starring Charleton Heston and Edward G. Robinson which portrayed a dystopian future where the old or those who could not feed or otherwise take care of themselves were encouraged to end their lives (with government assistance, of course) so that they wouldnt take up vital resources. Well leave it to the imagination to come up with what their bodies were turned into (all for the greater good) of course.

Actually, I am reminded more of ‘Logan’s Run’ than ‘Soylent Green’.
No. If the DemoNazis want to pass this evil, they do it alone.
So there is no confusing who is responsible for it..The DemoNazis and the usual slit nosed, sleep with the enemy whore like Collins, Snowe, Spector...
“Actually, I am reminded more of Logans Run than Soylent Green.’”
Maybe...but you gotta admit the symbology (killing off the old and then eating them) has a bit more impact than just killing people when they hit 30 ;-)
Excellent graphic.....as we have said many times here but now is clearer than ever in this DEATHCARE bill -
DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS THE PARTY OF DEATH
It is just a matter of time before they come knocking at my door for my son. They will regret it.
My dad is 79, a veteran of 27 years military service, and a smart guy, but his wife started serving him left-wing Kool-Aid about 30 years ago, and he’s never recovered.
He voted for Obama, and continues to support his socialist agenda. I won’t even think of trying to inform him about the “Kill Grandma” part of the Health Care bill.
Shhhhh.......!

That’s funny. I did 22 years (enlisted and officer) before I punched out a few years ago. Is he on Tricare for Life? All of that’s going away under this so-called “reform” bill.

What's wrong with that?
What weve noticed lately is that they certainly seem to be in a rush to enact what we feel would be the greatest theft of individual wealth and liberties in the history of the nation. Our guess is that they need to do so before many more average Americans read for themselves certain of the provisions contained within this bill.

And that, dear readers, is the crux of the 0bama position.
Anybody remember the last major world power whose leader advocated euthanasia of the elderly and mentally challenged?
Funny... I thought of “Soylent Green” yeterday when I was in a small town. I saw a sign pointing toward “Recycling Center” and “Cemetery”.
Actually, I don't know what sort of health care plan he's on, government, or otherwise. We've had a long-distance relationship for a real long time now, so I'm not privy to much of his personal business.
I only can hope that he's digging into the proposed legislation, and is finding out all of the ugly details on his own. If not, he'll find out the hard way, and will have to admit to himself that I warned him.
Sadly, my dad hast drunken of the Kool-Aid, and is lost unto Men. He won't listen to anything by any conservative or Republican. Eyes firmly glued shut, I'm afraid.
Thanks, though. I'll bet it's a great interview.
I wish I could make that a part of my signature. Very nice.
>The Republicans would be well advised to stay miles away from any bipartisan attempts by these democrat party monsters to diffuse the blame.<
I’ve got news for the Republicans. They need to quit saying they want to “cut health care costs” and they need to get out in front of this story and demand that the elderly and chronically ill be protected.
Bingo.
Without a doubt, the best comment of the day.
I thought death rode a pale horse, not a stupid ass.
