Can you guess which person said the following quote this week?
"If they're afraid to go to church, that's good."
If you guessed "Osama Bin Laden," you'd be wrong. But your answer would be understandable, as they certainly sound like the words of a terrorist.
No, the man who said this is actually somewhat of a hero on the right. Conservatives fancy him as a sort of cowboy sheriff, fearlessly rounding up lawbreakers and treating them as prisoners should be treated: no cable, pink underwear, and oh yeah...the chance that they'll die needlessly from lack of the appropriate health care that they are guaranteed by law.
Which would be bad enough if only those actually convicted of a crime were treated this way; but Sheriff Joe Arpaio has gotten away with doling out the same brutal punishment to prisoners who have not even stood trial yet. Innocent people are being abused in his prisons and "tent cities" where the Arizona heat can reach up to 135 degrees.

Only a real moron would argue against his success, especially at a time when crime is escalating and funds are scare for the fight against it.
Any idea where he pulled that quote from? I find the accusation hard to believe.

I still think he’s leaving something out. That quote just doesn’t fit the surrounding conversation. It sounds more like something he would say about the illegals, being afraid of getting caught.
So it was taken out of context as it was related to children of illegals afraid to go to church because of an earlier raid the day before on illegals ..........?
If so I agree with him......illegals and all around them should be afraid of the law and live in fear every day.
I have ICE on speed dial , a number that works for my area. I discover an illegal I turn em in, address, license number and employers address and data as well.
Anyone that does not turn in illegals they are aware of , be they blue eyed Bosnians or Guatemalan chicken farmers, is no less a problem than any other Obama backer IMO.

I lived in Arizona for 15 years during the 80’s and 90’s. He is single handedly trying to save that state from crime and corruption. It’s taken a toll I’m sure. The residents of Maricopa County should thank him. When he leaves, the place will become a Third World Hell.
I agree, besides if there was any merit to this wqew would be hearing about it in the MSM. They would love to crucify him.

I didn’t know that having “no cable” was a “brutal punishment”.
Oh, but it is. When my cable goes out, it’s a dire emergency. I not only lose my TV, but my computer is virtually worthless without that cable Internet connection. I can’t log into Free Republic without it! I have to stop now. I’m having a hard time breathing, just thinking about it. You just have no idea!

If they do not like the way “brown” (code word for “illegal”) people are treated...those “brown” people are more than welcome to take their illegal selves and move anywhere south of Nogales, Douglas, and south of other Arizona border towns
