House to consider resolution demanding Obama apologize to Crowley
The Hill ^ | 7/24/09 | Michael O'Brien

Congress would demand that President Obama apologize to the officer the president said had "acted stupidly" in the arrest of a prominent Harvard professor under a resolution set to be introduced by one Michigan lawmaker.

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) will introduce a House resolution on Monday demanding Obama retract and apologize for remarks he has made about Cambridge Police Sergeant James Crowley this past week.

Anyone want to bet this does not pass???????? Wish it would as I am tired that the Pres. goes all over the world apologizing for America and yet when he steps in it, he or his TelePrompter will not apologize. He made the mess, he now needs to be a man and own up to it!

It would not pass. This is out front of the press instead of some of the other damage that is out there. I can’t tell who is dumber the press or the people who want this story to live.

Yeah, it's like, can uhbama APOLOGIZE for anything else except America?

Someone said his ego is so creepy that he cannot envision himself as ever really being wrong...and can only say he made a mistake if it will benefit him politically. He is such an arrogant nutcase.

I like the idea - it would be his first “woodshed” experience ever, I think. I realize it probably won’t happen, but might prompt him to apologize for political reasons.

Well, I like to think of continuing the press on this stroy as part of the overall defensive against the Obamunists, not just a single front.

We haven't forgotten the issue of deathcare, but we cannot permit the people to think for an instant that he's any less the radical anti-white racist that he truly is.

I think focus needs to be kept on all the relevant issues, and this is one of them. People need to have their eyes opened to the p"resident's" true agenda.

Gotta agree. This would be a case of the Pubbies overplaying their hand—like the Dems so often do.

I totally agree. This is going too far. You can't MAKE a man apologize anyway.

Barack Obama, president de facto, has suggested he, Gates, and Sergeant James Crowley get together over a beer. Obama and Gates share dry Martinis, but again, haughtily assume the Sergeant would be more at home with beer rather than the more sophisticated adult beverage - my guess is that the Sergeant can handle anything....

Hopefully the Sergeant will have the good sense to decline this sham invitation, as he has nothing to apologize for....Obama and Gates however, do owe apologies to many.

This shouldn’t be pursued at all. First, don’t give Obama the wiggle room to put this issue behind him. If he didn’t recognize the problem to begin, there is no point in having him offer an insincere apology.

By not having him apologize, we can bank this incident for future use.

Amazing how Gates spewed racism from a city, state, and nation all governed by blacks. Keys hope -11bama keeps digging the hole deeper.

“You can’t MAKE a man apologize anyway. “

Um, excuse me, Libs do it all the time. They push and push and demand apologies and people to step down (only if they are conservatives) all the time. Time the right steps up and does the same thing. The libs have always gone by the slogan “the squeaky wheel gets the oil”.
