MERCOSUR Summit Concludes with Condemnation to Honduras Coup
Cuban News Agency ^ | July 25, 2009

The 37th Summit of the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR) concluded on Friday in Asuncion, Paraguay, with a strong condemnation to the coup perpetrated against Honduran legitimate President Jose Manuel Zelaya...In his opening speech, Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo, categorically condemned the coup against Zelaya’s Government and said that “Honduras is a bleeding wound in regional democracy”....For his part, Bolivian President Evo Morales insisted that countries in the region should bear in mind the origin of the military coup.

“What is the origin of the coup d´état in Honduras? From our point of view is the US military intervention” by way of its military base (Soto Cano) in that Central American country” pointed out Morales. “I feel that (the US President, Barack) Obama is not involved, but there is a structure of the US empire” in Honduras...

The Friday meeting was attended by presidents Cristina Fernández (Argentina), Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Brazil), Tabaré Vázquez (Uruguay), Michelle Bachelet (Chile) and Evo Morales (Bolivia). Also present were representatives from Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Colombia.

There are dozens of stories in Spanish reporting this, but the only English report I could find on this subject was from CUBA, of all places. I saw Morales making this little speech on TV last night and was sickened. Morales is Chavez' puppet in Bolivia. Notice how is is very careful to say Obama is not involved. Birds of a feather...

Leftists do like to meddle in other people’s business, don’t they? And their whiny template is wearing thin.

From the Cuban News Agency....not to be confused with our MSM, though the distortion, misrepresentation and outright lying are certainly reminiscent.

Yes, I pointed that out in my comment when I posted this. It was the only English version of what happened I could find, and I am feeling too lazy to translate. However, I watched the Telesur news on TV last night and heard him say this, so at least that part I know to be accurate. What they didn’t report is that not everyone in South America was happy with what was going on at the MERCOSUR meeting. Peru, for instance.

The amount of condemnation Hondurans have received from all over South America is a sign of the success Castro has had in corrupting that continent. Out of habit they still blame the US even though their fellow travelers are now in charge.

If we ever manage to remove our political cancer here , the South American cancer will have to be dealt with it or it will somebody gave the world the same trouble Germany once did.

Don't short-change Hugito Chavez when handing out credit for this. He has been carrying big pails for water for Castro on this for years and years. And now he, himself, has puppets like Morales. Be sure to read:

No wonder our elected officials court illegal immigrants - they're hoping enough of them will have this South American taste for Marxism to sway elections here in the US.

This is already happening as the result of unchecked immigration. We are well on our way to having taken in a critical mass of people who were raised in poor countries that preach and teach Marxism, but can’t afford the handouts that Marxism requires because there is no wealth to redistribute. So they are taught redistribution, and come here demanding it because they perceive this to be a wealthy country that can afford the handouts. Then they start voting their assumptions. California is a text-book case where this already has occurred, and illustrates the outcome. Nationwide, we have taken in about 40 million parasites, people who think the government should provide for them, at the expense of the natives. A good exercise in looting, without all the violence that the Barbarians had to commit when they sacked Rome.

And they’re motivated to vote, since that’s where their bread & butter comes from.

Unfortunately, they don’t realize they owe their soul to the company store, so to speak.

There are systemic trends (the vicious cycle of more government and more dependency) which will only be broken when either the payers-in have had enough (which is why the left embraces gradualism) or the behemoth breaks down through its own weight.

Don't short-change Hugo Chavez

I consider Hugo one of Castro's creations. I suspected Hugo stole his elections and with the vote rigging in Honduras we now have an idea as to how he did it.

I might add the Health scam bill gives health care free to illegals. The rest of us have to pay.
