Almost every week at the New York Times, house "conservative" David Brooks and liberal columnist Gail Collins have a public conversation. This week Brooks made a startling admission in The Conversation which really wasn't so surprising when one actually reads his columns. Here is the money quote:
At the moment, I feel politically closer to Barack Obama than to House Minority Leader John Boehner (and thats even while being greatly exercised about the current health care bills).

See, David?
Coming out isn't so hard after all.
Good luck with your new friends.
And, oh, by the way - your horse is lame, and may not finish the race.
Dumbass.

So Mr. Brooks, have you received your official knee pads with that Obozo insignia on them from Rahm Emanuel?

I’ve watched Brooks morph into a sheep...a castrated sheep. The only “real” news editor left is Krauthammer.

No surprise there, David. Why not just stop the ridiculous poser act as some sort of conservative. You aren’t fooling very many, if any at all.

"A socialist republican??"<.i>
Nah... Just another superficial, disingenuous, self-serving, attention craving opportunist. They can be bankers, or school teachers or postal employees.
This one just happened to choose the field of politics.

"David Brooks: 'I Feel Politically Closer to Barack Obama Than to House Minority Leader John Boehner'" That says it all. The NYT token "conservative" thinks he is closer to the most leftist president in the history of the country than he is to an elected Republican official. I'm convinced: Brooks is a socialist, and the NYT is even further left than he is.
