POLICE were shocked to find more than 150 dead dogs packed into a freezer in a US home yesterday.

The dogs were found at the home of a “confused and disoriented” man who earlier this week had 112 live dogs – mostly chihuahuas – removed from his Michigan home.

Authorities were alerted to the presence of the dogs after neighbours complained about the stench of the place and found chihuahuas “everywhere” in his filthy three-bedroom home.

Garbage was piled to the ceiling and the floor was covered in faeces and urine.

I feel truly sorry for people like this. They are usually lonely, elderly, and think in their own way that they are doing good for the animals.

I hope he gets the care he needs.

And will they be investigating who sold a male-female pair of unsterilized dogs to a “mentally challenged” man? Did the dogs have “papers” from the criminal organization known as the American Kennel Club? If so, will the AKC cease selling its phony papers to the breeder who sold these dogs to this mentally challenged man? Yeah, fat chance.

The story sounded like mental illness. I’ve seen a couple of these situations (both with about 20 plus cats) and they are almost inevitably severely mentally ill.

He let the chihuahua dogs breed outta control because he ‘loved’ them, thinking he’s doing good for them by letting them multiply.

As horrifying as this is, there is no way this individual is fit for trial. Think about it...no sane human being could share a 3 bedroom home with more than 100 dogs. Those dogs were living in hell on Earth, but so was this pathetic man.

I feel bad because I giggled at the title..( not fond of chi-hooa-hooas ). I prefer larger breeds, ones with a bark and a bite...
