SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – A new proposal to end Honduras' political crisis would restore ousted President Manuel Zelaya in two days.

Costa Rican President Oscar Arias says the proposal is the last plan he will submit as mediator in the conflict. He says Zelaya and the coup leaders should turn to the Organization of American States for a new mediator if they refuse to sign the plan.

The 11-point plan also calls on Zelaya to drop efforts to reform the Honduran Constitution...

Arias presented the plan Wednesday and said he hoped both sides would sign it Thursday. It includes a timetable that would return Zelaya to power Friday.

No, no, no, no. Don’t go for it, Honduras. There is no reason to let that man return to power.

Let him back into the country for trial - ONLY.

I think they would be fools for agreeing to anything these people propose.

As far as see, there is really no more need for a mediator. This thing is settled. Honduras has a legitimate president. God bless him.

Honduras ought to tell Arias, the OAS, AND the US (Obama’s State Department) to pound sand.
This is another page out of the marxist playbook — ‘this small compromise won't cost you a bit. Be reasonable, he'll step down in November...’
This is bovine excrement and hopefully Honduras doesn't fall for it. I realize that they are having their arms twisted by our State Department (’no aid for you guys until you let Zelya back in...’) - but they should just say no. Nothing left to talk about other than Zelya’s trial.

The more I read about this, the more I’m inclined to the conclusion that the communist party now rules in the USA.
What has tipped me from strong suspicion and lots of circumstantial evidence, are the reports of Zelaya’s computers, left in Honduras, with the “official tallies” of the referendum results, of the referendum that was not allowed to happen. And -7bama wants this guy back in power in the worst way.

The OAS? The OAS that already came down firmly on the side of Zelaya, is going to be an impartial mediator? On which planet is that going to occur?

Laughable. This doesn’t resolve sh**.

Yeah, we’ll just trust Zelaya not to do Chavez’s bidding if put back in power. Arias, a fellow leftist.

don-o, please put me on your Honduras ping list. It’s always encouraging to see the underdogs with the cajones to support their constitution. Sorta like ... well, you know.

Coup leader Arius

Toughness - 12 (talks a big game but doesn’t deliver)
Intelligence - 17 (only mistake he made was kidnapping Jenny)
Strength of Good/Evil - 19 (pretty badass but no Bennett)
Plot Importance - 15 (is one of the main reasons for the film!)
Effectiveness - 10 (doesn’t get his way and does very little damage - overshadowed by Bennett)
Special Ability - THE HOLLOW THREAT (5)

You got it. It is a compelling story. I can’t even hazard a guess how it’s going to turn out. I read today that there were tens of thousands marching in the capital in support of the government. That’s reason for hope.

And one of the first things the government did in reaction to the sanctions was to cut federal spending 10%. These people have a clue.

“A new proposal to end Honduras’ political crisis...”

There WAS a political crisis. Then the Hondurans resolved it. A well-written Constitution is a wonderful thing to follow.

BZZZZZ! Wrong answer. This wasn't a coup. Hondurans should say, "no thanks, pal".

I pray for them, and am reminded of Reagan’s shining city on the hill... they’re drawing the fire of evil, but on they shine, God bless em.
