Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's oldest son has begun his mandatory three-year military service.
Netanyahu accompanied his son Yair to a military induction center in Jerusalem Tuesday to see him off.
The 18-year-old Yair boarded a bus to another army base where he will be processed. He will then go through three weeks of basic training before joining the military spokesman's office.
Yair will be the army's only private with a personal bodyguard.
Netanyahu himself was an officer in an elite Israeli commando unit. The prime minister has another son, Avner, with his wife Sara and an older daughter, Noa, from a previous marriage.

N FLIGHT - JULY 14, 1996: In this Israeli Government Press Office (GPO) file photo, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his wife Sara Netanyahu and their sons Avner (L) and Yair (R) watch a movie on board an Israeli Air Force jet as they return to Israel from a state visit to the United States July 14 1996. Netanyahu, who is the leader of the conservative Likud party, has a growing lead in the race to become Israel's next Prime Minister. The politician and former special forces soldier has already served as Israel's Prime Minister, from 1996 to 1999.

Bibi lives in a very different world than Barack Ozero. This is just another illustration of his reality.
His uncle, of course, is the legend of the rescue mission at Entebbe.
May he RIP.
Good Job, well done Cinnamon, nice pics
This is the BIBI Ping List.
(here is the main illustration of the different worlds of Bibi and Obama for anyone who missed it: Bibi vs. Obama: Showdown (Illustrated): http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2270358/posts)
Love the American spelling of his name, Netanyahui. Some people did not get the joke.
three weeks of basic training???
Is that a missprint?
Then let me be second on the Bibi ping list.
I believe that was BiBi’s brother who was in the Entebbe raid
I think that’s right. He’s serving in the military spokesman’s office.
Netanyahu ping
I was in Tel Aviv during Bibi's last term in the late 90s. It was amazing to be in the hotel when the Israeli army soldiers who protect him would come racing down the hall with him in the middle. It's so exciting. He went to the El David hotel every week for his cabinet meeting. He stopped to talk to me once. An extraordinary man with so much confidence and quiet power.
They look like nice boys. Best wishes to young Yair.
Are you sure, Uncle? Some one told me that was his brother.
Bibi’s brother is (would have been) the *uncle* of the young man in the article.
He was refering to Yair’s uncle.
Yair’s uncle. The article is about Yair, not his Dad.
Oh, alright! :)
