I was in Tel Aviv during Bibi's last term in the late 90s. It was amazing to be in the hotel when the Israeli army soldiers who protect him would come racing down the hall with him in the middle. It's so exciting. He went to the El David hotel every week for his cabinet meeting. He stopped to talk to me once. An extraordinary man with so much confidence and quiet power.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (R) and his Defence Minister Ehud Barak attend a memorial ceremony for the former's brother, Yoni, at the military cemetery in Mt. Hertzel in Jerusalem on June 28, 2009. Yoni Netanyahu was killed in 1976 during the Antebe operation to free Israeli hostages.
We FREEPERs cannot overlook the contributions of Israel to the common defense of the civilized (and especially the democratic world). The barbarians and their Left wing sympathizers, who are forever telling us not to demonize Saddam (may he rest in hell), the mad mullahs in Iran, Kim Jong-Il, and Castro, may complain about Israel doing what it must to protect itself. As for me, I cheer them and only wish their enemies would end their ideology of hate and mass murder.
