TWO people have been charged over an assault on a group of US sailors in which one was allegedly stabbed and slashed in the face with a pair of scissors. West Australian police allege a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old woman approached the group, who were on shore leave, outside the Perth train station at about 1am on July 5.
A fight erupted and a female sailor was left with facial injuries, while a male sailor required surgery for the wounds he received when he was attacked with the scissors.
Police said a 17-year-old boy from the Perth suburb of High Wycombe is to appear in Perth Children's Court on Monday, charged with unlawful wounding.

punk thugs.
probably some politics too
Years of media evasiveness have taught me to perk up, whenever perpetrators are so completely nondescript.
There’s a mosque on Sultana Road in High Wycombe, and there is a madrassa. Are these two Muslim?
Earlier reports state that the assailants were Australian Aboriginal - unlikely to be Moslem.
Earlier reports stated that the assailants were Australian Aboriginals - there’s very few Moslems in that grouping.
“Hmm, large Muslim Population in High Wycombe AU..”
Military folks usually find “understated” ways to express their unhappiness. Here’s hoping there are a lot of broken heads in that area, understated of course.
look under the veil, all is not that it appears....http://www.islamawareness.net/Oceania/Australia/militant.html
Well, I’d imagine they’re another protected group, hence the mystery in the report.
I’m pretty aware of these issues, living in Australia.
There are some aboriginals that have embraced Islam, but only a small number and mostly in the eastern states and Arnhem Land. It’s much less common over in the west, where the indigenous population is still large enough to be fairly coherent and not as likely to be seeking some sort of alternative structure.
Is it impossible they are Moslems? No. It’s not likely though - there’s plenty of indigenous youth in and around Perth committing crimes of violence for reasons that have nothing to do with religion.
Is there such a thing as lawful wounding?
Yes.
For example, in self defence. In performing surgery. There may be other criteria as well (I’m more familiar with the defences to lesser categories of assault than the serious ones).
When woomeras are outlawed, only outlaws will have woomeras. [Unless dad never taught them how to make a woomera and they have to use scissors.]
I would bet a push job for a government motors car to the repair shop on it.
Apparently, rock and paper lost.
Police are hoping to question three Aboriginal men and two Aboriginal women in relation to an assault"
