Maybe that’s why Europe kicked Islam out. They were just learning to much? Europe is learning one thing for sure. Islam is not good for Europe or anyone else. All people have to do is look at Islamic countries today. Is that some place you would want to live or raise your kids?

The Islamic world was the center of learning until the 6th century. Then all progress stopped.

Federer continues:

“Civilization is indeed indebted to Islam for Europe’s Renaissance, but the President’s speech was conspicuous in its omission of certain details.

The Renaissance was a revival of interest in Greek art, architecture, sculpture and philosophy, brought about by Greeks fleeing the Islamic invasion of the Byzantine Empire.

It began in the year 1071, when Turkish Muslims defeated the Byzantine army at the Battle of Manzikert and proceeded to invade the Byzantine Empire, which is today Turkey.”

(Federer gets it right-—using historical facts not PC lies and dissimulation at the heart of islci belief)

Obama's idiotic muttering is shit...which you would expect, I suppose, from an ahole...

Nice article, thanks for posting.

So, Islam is responsible for spreading the light of knowledge and the Renaissance period, just as Hitler is responsible for spreading Judaism.

“It was Islam that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance.”

Sure. By sacking the Empire and more importantly taking the City, Mohammedanism sent thousands of educated and accomplished Hellenes West to start the Renaissance.

They did and they didn’t

Islam is alive and well in the heart of Europe thanks to clinton and Bush and NATO esp England and Germany. We backed the wrong side in the Balkans allowing Islam a strong foothold from which they can spread their vileness throughout.

The US is not immmune either as we keep letting more in by the thousands.

Federer crafts an excellent satire on Zero’s propaganda. Or “obamaguity” as he calls it

“To escape the Islamic invasion, Byzantine Greek scholars fled west to Florence, Italy, bringing with them their architecture, art, sculpture and philosophy, fueling Europe’s fascination with Greek culture”

"A student of Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky, Frank Marshall Davis, Jeremiah Wright Jr. and Chicago politics."

Yes indeed. And we can't forget the other students in Obama's class who have all graduated now and serve as Obama's most valuable Senior advisors:

-David Axelrod

-Rahm Emanuel

-Pete Rouse (likes to be invisible but only two doors down from "O" and not a big fan of Palin's by the way)

-Valerie Jarret

All with deep Chicago connections....TONY RESKO, etc...

Nothing to see here...we will just move along.

Obama is not so much a student of history as a Disney visitor. The “Islam carried the light of learning” statement is almost a direct quote from the Epcot attraction, Spaceship Earth.
