The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently revoked Gov. Mark Sanford's access to classified federal security information, then reinstated it after acknowledging that the suspension was made in error.

It was unclear late Thursday whether the suspension was related to Sanford's secret trip last month to Argentina to meet his mistress....

Does anyone really believe this was an error? He seems like a perfect candidate for suspension to me...

Surely he is more fit than Obama, who's relatives living in huts are easy prey for kidnappers.

And Obama couldn’t pass a security clearance in a million years. In fact, he would be deemed an enemy of the state.

Good grief, man, the Obamaloon has security clearance.

He has no ability, is either not natural born or has claimed foreign birth in order to steal funds from someone deserving it.

He attended law school solely because of his race. We won’t even talk about the joke of his being editor of the Harvard law review.

Therefore, one having no intellectual or moral qualifications can get a high security clearance.

Therefore, ANYONE should get it.

Well, in order to be "cleared"... you have to show your birth certificate... and we know how that one goes...

On balance, I think you’re right. Do governors really need security clearances to begin with?
