India the Latest to Stone the Dollar
Money News ^ | 7/9/2009 | Sean Hyman

In the past several weeks, three of the four BRIC nations — Brazil, Russia, and China —have expressed doubt over the dollar’s reserve status and expressed worries over the U.S. debt. India had been the only BRIC nation that had remained silent on the dollar issue, but that’s changed.

I wasn’t sure if India was going to hop on the bandwagon or not. However, they recently started singing with the rest of the BRIC choir in a chorus against the U.S. dollar.

In fact, on July 6, both Russia and India collectively said that the world economy is too reliant on the U.S. dollar and both called for changes in how $6.5 trillion in reserves are managed.

Amazingly, they voiced their concern publicly right before start of the G-8 countries meeting this week in Italy. All eyes will be on this meeting since the central bankers are present at this one and not just the finance ministers.

Evidently Russia intends to talk about how much a system based on the dollar and euro is flawed.

The times are changing. More countries are becoming more influential and gaining a bigger say in what is going on in the world. Many of these countries would like to see the dollar’s grip loosened.

Can hardly blame them. “Let’s tear America down” has been their motto.

They don't have to hold Dollar reserves. They could hold Yuan reserves if they wanted to. They just don't want to.

Based on the rates of gold and silver, even Americans are converting their dollars into physical commodities.

Close our borders. Let us become completely self-sufficient...there’s not a darn thing in this country that we need that we can’t produce for ourselves! We feed h alf the world and we give them our TREASURE on a daily basis in the form of aid...down a rat hole or into a dictators pocket in MOST cases! Grrrr!

Granted, our BOGUS ‘standard of living’ might be slightly reduced and we won’t have cheap stuff from overseas, but we’ll have good quality American-Made items that will last a generation!

And I’ll bet you a homemade donut that Americans wouldn’t even REMOTELY notice. *Rolleyes*

Man, when I run this Country, there are gonna be some mighty BIG changes, LOL!

They could buy gold too, if they wanted to. They don't want to. They would rather hold dollars. They just want to control us.

I hear you, I wish we had purchased more but it’s never too late. Still buying it here and there.

The times are changing.

Not by accident either. This is all intentional, and aided and abetted by our own so called leadership in the past 15 years or so...

The plan is to lower our standard of living while raising the standard of other countries, eliminate our sovereignty and borders, and eventually creating a world socialist government, where several hundred or so super wealthy and political insiders basically control the entire planet.

It's all about total control and total power over *everything*.

Considering the ‘dollar’ is backed by the “full faith and credit of the U.S. government”. Do you have ‘faith’ in our government when the government has no ‘faith’ in it’s citizens?

What are they worried about? When Zero runs out of money he can print IOU’s, just like Kalifornia. Wouldn't they be happy to take IOU’s from God - Obamadollars???

They are not worried about aid, but they should be worried that their professionals will become less competitive if the rupee rises against the dollar.

Who would want an Indian programmer who costs more than an American one?

Sarkozy calls for talks on dollar

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2289842/posts

French President Nicolas Sarkozy called for a revamp of the global currency system, saying Thursday that the dollar's supremacy is outdated.

“We need to ask the question: shouldn't a world that is politically multi-polar correspond to a multi-monetary world economically?” he said in a news conference during a summit of world leaders in L’Aquila, Italy.

The Great Secret revealed at last! We are one of the very very few countries which can even dream of doing that. I am overpowered by pseudonostalgia at the thought of being able to reach in my pocket and jingle real silver dollars. I want that homemade donut by the way.:)

Given the 10 billion dollar US aid to Pakistan, the token US aid to India is more too keep the equidistance-bipartisan pretense vis-à-vis India-Pak.

Comin' right up! Pass the cinnamon sugar, would ya?

Our lack of realization of what Americans can be and do and accomplish to support ourselves and our country frustrates me to no end! The Public School Brainwashing is complete! Grr!
