Burris told them that he would be testifying and trying to keep his butt out of jail.

Yep. Obviously it wasn’t his decision not to run since a RAT official announced it for him.

"Does he still get paid salary for life?"

My first thought...and, all the benefits owed to our senatorial royalty?

Lisa Madigan, the Illinois AG and the dem’s best hope to hold the seat announced she will not run for the senate, she’s running for re-election or for governor. Mark Kirk, the Repub, will be a very strong candidate.

Rep. Kirk (my congressman) should lose the primary to a conservative, Dr. Eric Wallace. His site is www.wallaceforillinois.com.

I hope that State Rep. Elizabeth Coulson will run for Kirk’s seat. She’s been a legislator since 1997.
