Three jailed for publisher arson (Religion of Peace)
BBC ^

Three men have been jailed for an arson attack at the home of a publisher days before his novel about the Prophet Mohammed was due to be published.

Martin Rynja's home in Lonsdale Square, Islington, north London, was targeted on 27 September last year.

Abbas Taj, 30, Ali Beheshti, 41, and Abrar Mirza, 23, from east London, were each jailed for four-and-a-half years.

They were convicted of conspiracy to commit arson, being reckless as to whether life was endangered.

The attack took place as the Jewel of Medina, a novel about the Prophet's child bride A'isha, was to be published in the UK.

The trial at Croydon Crown Court heard how Taj, a minicab driver, waited in a car as the other two men poured diesel through the letterbox and lit a fire at Mr Rynja's home, which was also his office.

Sheesh! The guy in the middle looks like a monkey! As I said on the earlier thread, “IMO, attempted arson is attempted murder.”

“being reckless as to whether life was endangered.”

They weren’t being reckless...they intended life to be endangered.

Wow. Only 4.5 years for this act of terrorism.

Does anybody know...in England will they get out after two years for good behavior?

“Muslim extremists jailed for arson attack on Mohammed book publisher’s home”

SNIPPET:

A fanatic who once paraded his baby in an ‘I love Al Qaeda’ hat was yesterday jailed for firebombing the home of the publisher of a novel about Mohammed.

Sentencing Ali Beheshti, 41, and two accomplices to four and a half years, Mrs Justice Rafferty told them: ‘If you choose to live in this country, you live by its rules.’

‘There is no such thing as “a la carte citizenship” and, in your case, there is no such thing as “a la carte obedience” to the law.’

Notorious: Ali Beheshti, posing with a gun in this Metropolitan Police photo, admitted conspiracy to endanger life

Beheshti, a follower of hate cleric Abu Hamza, poured diesel through the letterbox of Martin Rynja’s £2.5million house and set it alight to ‘punish’ him for agreeing to release The Jewel of Medina, a fictional account of the Prophet’s child bride.

Beheshti achieved notoriety three years ago at a protest against Danish cartoons of Mohammed when he was photographed with his 18-month-old daughter, Farisa, whom he had dressed in a pink bonnet celebrating Al Qaeda.

Beheshti, who has a previous conviction for the attempted murder of his father, described her to reporters as the youngest member of the network. “

“Unmasked!
We reveal al-Qaeda tot’s dad is terror plotter facing life”
By Dan Evans, 03/05/2009

SNIPPET: “THE hate-filled dad who shocked the world by parading his baby daughter on a demo in a pink bonnet emblazoned “I LOVE AL-QAEDA” is today behind bars facing life imprisonment.

CRUEL TRICK: Tot Farisa in terror hat

When he first hit headlines preaching terror at the 2006 Danish Embassy protest in London he hid behind the chilling alias Abu Jihad-meaning ‘holy war’.

But now we reveal the evil ranting fanatic is actually 41-year-old ALI BEHESHTI-now awaiting sentence for his part in an extremist firebomb attack on the home of a publisher.

When he cynically used his 20-month-old daughter Farisa as cheerleader for murder and mayhem, protesting at Danish cartoons of the prophet Mohammed, Beheshti proudly proclaimed her “the youngest member of al-Qaeda”.

Under cover of his fake name the radical Muslim waved banners vowing to “Massacre those who insult Islam!” and promising “Europe, your 9/11 will come!”

But although the jobless hardliner from East London, demands total respect for his own religion he uses ruthless violence to suppress the free speech of others-and state handouts to fund his sick way of life.

And this week in Croydon Crown Court he and accomplice Abrar Mirza admitted attacking the home of 45-year-old businessman Martin Rynja for planning to publish a novel about Mohammed. A third man is still on trial.”
