UOJ aren’t drafted. They can and have joined the IDF. Small numbers compared to universal conscription of Israelis - excepting arab, druze or uoj.
I stand corrected, just checking myself here. Some Israeli arabs, druze and others are drafted. A few minorities are exempt. It’s a bit complex.

Yes, God wills THEM to obey the Sabbath. Good for them for following their Bible. Their Sabbath is on a Saturday.
Now what about the Christians in Israel (and there are nearly a million, including hidden Russian Christians). What about THEIR rights?
Christians like to observe Sabbath on Sunday. Do they get any say in this???
Just because Israel is 70% Jewish does not mean that the other 30% HAS to Observe Jewish Sabbath rules.
And what makes this so hilarious is that survey after survey in Israel shows that that the overwhelming majority of JEWS in Israel oppose compulsory Sabbath rules. Go Google it.
In the end, I do not EVER want to live in a world where religious rules are imposed. NEVER!

Blue Laws were enforced on Sundays, my friend. So, which “Sabbath” were you intimating should be enforced under penalty of law? The Saturday one that these guys want observed under penalty of law, or the Sunday one that some here wanted observed under penalty of law, even if others weren’t of the same religion?

You are making my point. Christians in Israel peacefully observe their Sabbath on Sunday without imposing it on the Jews.
However, on Saturday, which is NOT the Sabbath for Christians, they are denied their right to go out and live a normal life.
By what logic does that make sense?
In the US, the UOJ do JUST FINE observing their Sabbath without imposing it on anyone else.
Same can apply in Israel too.
No FORCED Sabbath for anyone in any freaking country.

My Sabbath is Wednesday night. We don’t allow the consumption of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream between 5:47 pm and 10:03 pm EST, except during leap years. Stores that sell it on Wednesday during those hours are violating the Sabbath, all for the almight dollar! Bastards!

Have you ever been there? You can move about quite freely and drive your car in almost all of Jerusalem if you wish. There are some neighborhoods where only Orthodox Jews live and there are barriers that block access to cars to these areas. Why not allow some peace to these folks who want it?
And BTW, Saturday is the sabbath to most Christians who understand. Sunday is not the sabbath. It is the "L-rd's Day."
