POLITICO: Palin plans to stay visible
Politico ^ | 7/3/2009 | Mike Allen

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin plans to remain extremely visible and will give serious consideration to running for president in 2012, but has made no decision, a close friend said after her startling announcement Friday that she will resign her office.

Friends say Palin plans to spend time writing her book, which is due this fall, then promote it heavily when it comes out in spring 2010.

Palin is by far the Republican Party's biggest draw for fund-raisers and conservative events, and the friends say she plans to spend a lot of time traveling in "the lower 48" states, as Alaskans call the continental U.S.

Those friends say she plans to give a series of paid speeches, and will also make free GOP appearances, raising money for the party and for issues. She also plans to help other candidates, collecting political IOUs for herself.

Exactly, she has turned on them like a Kodiak she-bear.

...and they better get the heck out of her way.

Wonder how many of the pundits going after Sarah are from the Ivy League? I didn’t know Krauthammer was Ivy League until a few minutes ago.

Also noted a lot of names posting negative on Palin that I don’t recognize. Would be willing to bet the mole population has increased on FR.

Your the kind of guy I want next to me when all Hell breaks loose. I have never seen such panic and Fluff as I did today when this announcement first came in. I do not want to be around people like that when bad news comes, that's the time you need to hunker down , dig your heels in and wait. Whatever she does can not phase us we must keep our eyes on the goal, and remember God has everything under control.

Not only is she going to “remain visible” - she will become the obvious opposition to Obama.

And when his marxist schemes fail, she will be there to kick him REAL HARD

I have a hunch that consultation til 4 a.m. with Palin is the project Rush was talking about the other day. He said he’d love to be able to tell us some day. I have the feeling he’s going to be a key player in her bid for the presidency.

Well the good news is for a few hours, she seems to have bumped Michael Jackson off the front page.

We need Palin in 2012 badly..

She's not the only conservative we can consider. If she were the only one, then we're REALLY DOOMED. Bobby Jindal, Mitch Daniels and Rick Perry come to mind.

At first I thought resigning would look awful, but this piece certaintly puts the game plan on the table, and I got to say... Absolutely Genius.

Criss-Crossing the country building massive grassroots support over the next 3 years? She’s going to be nearly untouchable in the primaries (without spending more than a few cents) and very formidable in the general against a weakened Obama.

If I were to bet, I would bet on her becoming the next POTUS.

You gotta remember, it was also Sarah 'who' in 2008.

Yep...She’ll get money, airtime to nail Obama as a private citizen, piss off the media, act like the leader of the Republican Party, and build the all important gravitas! Woo hoo...she’ll be the buzzing fly all over Obama’s Kobe beef and honey dew the media keeps feeding him. Wake up folks, the plan is in action. Cool beans...the first time to feel good about ending Obama’s reign...
