True. Or “bizarre” like McCain’s various antics prior to getting his butt kicked in the 2008 election.

Yeah. It's obvious she has something planned. She could be a major force for good while burnishing her credentials for a run. She like the rest of us who are genuine conservatives is very upset at what is being done to our nation. It'll be fun to watch the pundits make asses out of themselves while they try to out guess her. I can't wait!

I've not been her greatest fan, believing that she was in need of some seasoning before she would be ready for the big run, but this move is just tasty. It's killing the press and the big name pundits...and very much in character for her.

I suspect that if she makes the right play, this will boost her popularity even in the face of the government run media assault.

Gov. Palin is re loading and has more opportunity to be heard in other states and called on by Republican candidates for the House, Sen, and Gov.

It is one thing to live in one of the lower 48 states
and travel to other states but way up in the NW and to travel around the 48 to be known and heard while still
serving as Gov. - You see her reasoning.

lso Sarah is writing a book and others will learn what some of us know already, how she was treated when she
ran for VP.

Libs are a bunch of power hungry megalomanics.

I’m sure that anyone resigning is considered odd by the left.

Hillary quit her senate seat (which she promised not to quit)so if Hillary can do it I guess Sarah can also!

Ya know, that's a damn good point.

An unremitting campaign of massive character assassination by the democrat party against Palin (and any other viable republican opponent) produces a resignation that is bizarre?

What is bizarre is that a Lexis/Nexis search of corrupted and evil media reveals far more negative and hateful criticism of Palin (a fine woman and a TERRIFIC Alaskan Governor) that the criminal Chicago Machine ex-Illinois governor Blago.

How is that for a perfectly controlled experiment?

She now becomes a constituent and will be able to move around more freely. I bet she will use the time to help fight against Eg0bambies healthcare lies.

Yes, it was cryptic but the code is; get the transcript, read it and then eliminate every other letter... that is where the real message is at. If it doesn’t make sense read the transcript again. Repeat as often as necessary. Eventually you will get it.

Palin is going on a book tour which can’t be done when you are governor. The media can’t deny her tv time, she sells ads. She will go on tv and promote her book and speak for truth and Eg0bambie will get mad and yell and Rham me from behind emanuel to do something.

Democrats portrayed the decision as following a pattern of "bizarre behavior"

Democrats are very familiar with bizarre patterns of behavior.

Go, Sarah! I’d crawl through broken glass on my hands and knees to vote for her, and I might have to.

Me too!

The irony in all this is that Republicans can't get behind such an unconventional person when that is precisely what is needed to beat the DNC machine and their MSM. She can change the game.

I wondered that too. She would have a much broader platform on national radio or TV than she does now. Her statement today only made me more certain that she may be going the path of national broadcaster.
The only problem with teaming up with Limbaugh is that he continually says that he is only an “entertainer.” Sarah doesn’t want to become labeled as an “entertainer,” even if she did originally have hopes of making it in TV.

The other, even more nerve-wracking thought, is the possibility that she is getting out before some major scandal breaks there. Her references to the cost to Alaskans of defending the Governor from attacks made me wonder if that is part of the reason she’s doing this now. If she has wind of some investigation or accusation that is going to emerge, she may believe it’s better for the state that she step aside.

While I am certain that she and her family can defend themselves, there is the possibility of an awful spectacle being forced in front of us every day for years if the charges are major. Of course, even something as horrible as an indictment would have its upside - Sarah on the news, front and center, every day. Then Americans would see the truth.

I would welcome anything as long as it is made up of conservatives ... like my grandfather from old country said. “I’m two tirds mad.” Never totally angry (correct word) but always two tirds.

A am two tirds mad as well with democrat lite like we have put up with for the last 12 - 15 years. Lite and spineless to boot. ok ... I am tree tirds angry now that I think about it.
