Taliban terrorists know where some of Pakistan's nuclear weapons are stored based on information from allies inside the country's national security forces.
A military source tells HUMAN EVENTS the Taliban and al Qaeda operatives in Pakistan's western frontier have ties to elements of the Pakistan army and Inter-Services Intelligence. The ISI helped put the Taliban in power in Afghanistan in 1996s. Its agents have helped it carry out attacks, including the bombing of the Indian embassy in Kabul.
It is through these contacts that the Taliban and its extremist allies know the locations of some nuclear warheads. Pakistan is believed to have about 60 atomic bomb and missile warheads. They are mostly kept around the capital of Islamabad, in districts where army control is at its tightest. Some missiles are mobile and are periodically moved to different locations.
...
But the military source said extremists have sources within Pakistan's nuclear security units. The real problem, the source said, is that if nuclear-armed India believes terrorists have access to those weapons, it could spark a new conflict between the two countries.

"We think we know where the weapons are," Murtha said. "I don't know that we know, but they think they know." Clear now?

It’s only a matter of time before al Qaida/Taliban get their hands on one.

When the Taliban get hold of an operational Pakistani nuke, it will immediately be given to AlQueda to used against a target in the west, likely the USA or lobbed at Israel. President Whiteflag Milquetoast Obama will do nothing proactive to prevent the Taliban from getting a nuke.

President Whiteflag Milquetoast Obama will do nothing proactive to prevent the Taliban from getting a nuke. But in that event, his first step, after declaring martial law, will be to confiscate all the privately owned firearms.

Or at least to issue an edict to that effect.
Whether or not he can actually pull it off remains to be seen.

Pakistan keeps its nukes disassembled; nuclear & non-nuclear parts are in separate areas. The Taliban would have to know how to assemble a nuclear weapon even if they got their hands on one. But AQ Khan knows how, and he's on the loose....

I agree that, unless the taliban/AQ are wiped out completely, they will acquire a nuke of some kind. With Obama in power, that prospect becomes more likely.
That said, I don't think North America, north of the Mexican border, will be a target. It is too difficult to smuggle a nuclear device into the CONUS or Canada. The target will be Israel, India, or somewhere in Europe. Any attack on Israel or India will be met with a massive response. Europe is a softer target.
