Integrity: In a society that so often feeds on others' adversity, Jenny Sanford has reminded us that hard times bring out the best in good people. No politician's wife has ever shown more grace.
The details are the sort of thing that keep a gawking public coming back for more — steamy e-mails, a cover story that he was hiking incommunicado on the Appalachian Trail, the choice of Father's Day for adultery.
Unlike so many other jilted political wives of recent times, Jenny Sanford was not convinced by her ambitious husband or his aides to take part in the charade of standing with him disingenuously at some circuslike press conference. The cameras would not get their image of offender and victim, side by side.
Instead, the visual the media would be forced to accept was video of the first lady taking some well-deserved vacation time with family. This wife, so dedicated to her husband's aspirations that she actually managed his campaigns, told reporters that the governor's career was "the least of my concerns."
The former Wall Street executive was even able to present a cheerful face to the swarm of reporters at the side of the car she was driving, as she headed off for some R&R.

Me, too. Especially after he told the Associated Press this afternoon that the whore was his "soulmate". For me, that would be it. Obviously he's still in love with his whore. And Jenny doesn't need Mister Mark to support her, so she can say goodbye at any time.
Hooray for Jenny! Just hope she & the good people of SC kicks Sanford’s a** out of the state.
Contrast with Hillary the Xanax Queen who would have stayed married to Hugh Hefner as long as there was something in it for her.
She has clarified the difference between them— she has a moral compass. Maybe she could be governor...
I wouldn’t take him back under any circumstance now but then I wouldn’t live with someone ever again that asked my permission to go see his mistress. He would have been gone permanently at that point in time.

I admire her too but... I would raise my sons with help from family and friends. To me...taking him back is disgusting especially by his own admission he has done similar things before. What kind of message does that send to their boys? Dad cheated on mom a few times but that’s OK? I think not. She can raise those boys to be good, strong men with more respect for women and their wives than their father had. She doesn’t have to say that...all she has to do is continue to be the strong woman she is, move on with her life without bad mouthing sanford and let her actions speak for themselves. Those boys will put her on a pedastal realizing she is the bigger person of both parents. Of course they love their dad and so they should. However, that is something for their DAD to work on..not Mrs. Sanford. Let the DAD work hard to earn back the respect. In the meantime...the mom has already proven the stock she is made of. Good for her. She deserves a real man who will love and appreciate her. Good luck to her and her sons. As for Sanford...who cares???? Didn’t the article say about his friend in Argentina that she was seeing someone else while seeing Sanford??????? Wonder what he will do when she dumps him???? At least he will know how his wife felt.
I’m not sure the lady in Argentina knew he was married. At any rate...I don’t believe in calling her that name. Sanford is a grown man with a wife and sons. If he wasn’t happy then get a divorce. Oh no...that would look bad. So instead he cheats and humilitates his wife in front of the world. Thank God she didn’t go stand out there like some meek little wronged woman. Good for her. He was sorry cause he got caught. If his friend in Argentina knew he was married then she is guilty because she hurt a “sister” so to speak. But...we dont’ know any of that.

Why didn’t she dump him before this? She knew back in January. He even told her I wanted to go see and be with his “soul mate.” So go, Mark, and don’t come back. That’s what I would say.
