...there are a few wronged political wives who get my respect, as well. And I'm beginning to think Jenny Sanford is one of them. On second read, her statement is kind of perfect. It's loving. It's forgiving. It is pious. And she really kicks some butt, if you're willing to read between the lines. She reclaimed the high ground: she "put forth every possible effort to be the best wife during almost 20 years of marriage" (i.e., she did nothing to deserve this). She believes in the sanctity of marriage (he's a cheating bastard). She is ready to forgive completely (because she's a better person than he'll ever be) "as long as he continues to work toward reconciliation with a true spirit of humility and repentance" (there will be hell to pay). She says she will continue to focus on raising her sons to be honorable young men (unlike their dirtbag father). She had kept the separation quiet, she said, to protect those four beautiful boys, and because of the separation, she really hadn't a clue about where her husband was.
...She may even have become the latest member of an elite club no woman wants to join: Scorned political wives who turn victimhood to their own advantage.

What are Palin’s minuses?
Hope her foot has a lasting effect.
What did this have to do with Palin?
1. She totally bombed during her interviews
2. Her family drama (some can try to explain it away but it’s a problem)
3. The media has already defined her (unfairly but still)
Can she overcome the above? Sure. But she obviously went into a hail of gun fire by the media and demoncraps and it didn’t help that she stepped in it a few times herself.
“What did this have to do with Palin?”
Both are women seems to be the answer.
Forgiveness without demanding a change in conduct is making the grace of God an accomplice to evil.

Nothing, but Newsweak is still Newsweak, so they have to take a gratuitous slap at her even if it makes absolutely no sense. They’re scared out of their drawers about 2012!;)
An interesting list. I notice all the points are media-driven, and I sincerely doubt they will ever provide a Conservative a fair shake. In fact, I’m sure they would try to throw dirt on Jesus if he were alive today.
He’s getting one more chance than I ever would get if I did what he has done. That I’ll garrontee.
Liberals HATE her.
In deed you are right about the media. I do believe she has a great opportunity to come roaring back as long as she continues to steer Alaska in the right direction. What better story to tell than one showing how she steered Alaska in the right direction while Buttcrack and other states kept smashing into the iceberg.
3.5: When this lipsticked pitbull came into the political limelight the first time, she was chained to John McCain.
We don’t know a thing about Sanford’s wife except what we read from the media. We know a lot about Sarah. There is no comparison.
This woman knew since January he was having an affair and only kicked him out two weeks ago? Excuse me, but he should have had a suitcase on the front lawn the minute the affair was confirmed.
you bring up problem #4. She should have known John McCain was bad news and expected he’d screw things up. But that was part of her inexperience.
The liberaloons will spare no effort or expense to make Alaska look like the cushiest spot in the Union, same as they did last time around.
sniff,sniff.....
And I imagine her idea of "true humility" is that he'll have to spend the next millenium groveling, no arguments allowed on any subject, and the only acceptable reply to anything she says is a humble, "Yes, dear, of course you're right!".
Something tells me he won't go that far.
