You're wrong. And you're rude.

I'm right, you know it and you are sassy!

He doubted that he would be able to return to Iran after talking openly about Ms Soltan's killing.

He could go back, but they'd shoot him...

For the definition of “impression,” please see dictionary.com.

No need for snarkyness.

It's hard to respond to something which is based on your "impression" of something.

I didn't ask you to respond.

You are a neighbor to the beast, and have learned a lot of your people skills from him.

Close range, no exit wound. Impossible, no. Unusual?

Not at all. Had a shot man in my business office once (I did not shoot him). The bullet never left his body. Very common with small handgun rounds. Its usually better for the shooting victim if the bullet leaves the body. If it stayed in the body it usually does more internal damage with more internal bleeding. She was bleeding very bad internally and externally.

How the heck did the doctor get OUT of Iran, afterwards? I wonder why more people don’t TRY to flee!

I don’t know much about the doc. But Iranians in the West have dual citizenship (Iran doesn’t dismiss them ever). Since he studies in England he had a way out, most folks in Iran don’t have.

So they have his ID card and some photos of him after he was apprehended by the crowd - plenty of evidence to refute the Iranian government's official claim that the shooter was a member of 'an opposition group'.

The best refutation of that is the fact that government banned a proper funeral and memorial service for Neda. That amounts to a murder confession by the mullahs.

A lot of people are having allergic reactions to my reasonable questions here. I don’t know about anyone else but I have only so much time to devote to keyboarding, so I’ll just say you need to brush up on your reading skills. I did not attack the man; and I don’t engage in quibbling either. HAND.

I thought that there was a pretty good pool of blood on the ground before they sat her down...wouldnt that be more typical of an exit wound droppin that much blood, that fast ???

in any case she was gone pretty quickly...

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Regime prosecutes someone for the shooting, even someone innocent -to defray the blame.

Thanks for posting this article and video link.

It was very informative, and helps give the viewer a better perspective on the Iranian people who are protesting.

Dr Arash Hejazi answered the reporters questions with complete candor.

And he made plenty of good points.

although today there was a funeral for a couple of killed Baseejis.

Yet Neda (and her family) were denied this basic right. Her family will never even know where her body is.

This 19-min. video raises some questions.

Answered a lot, as well.

He says she was a meter away from him, but he ran to her.

Yep. During critical situations like this, time and distance take on 'different' measurements.

He says the bullet left no exit wound, but gives the impression she was shot at close range.

He also mentioned the Basij were suppose to have 'plastic bullets'. Plastic, rubber, mini-shotgun shells, who knows.

Whatever it was entered the body, destroyed the surrounding organs, and didn't exit. Which any of those would do from a short range.

He’s a student in England, but doesn’t say why he went to Iran, how long he was there and why he left; it would be helpful to know these things about a man who is both a physician and a writer.

Yes he did. Listen again. He had a store there. He publishes books in Iran.

The article says he posted the video, suggesting he owns the camera used, but no indication who was operating it. In the first seconds of the posted video we’ve all seen, he looks deliberately at the person filming his actions.

It is more likely someone else 'owned' the cellphone it was filmed with, or vidcam. It also makes sense that he (as a publisher and doctor) would have the facilities to upload the video from someone's video device, onto the internet.

He indicates there will be repercussions from Iranian authorities, now that he’s been identified, but he doesn’t say how he decided to come forward although he has family in Iran.

He did explain exactly why he 'came forward'. I thought that for someone who had English as a secondary language, that he communicated rather well.

The interviewer mainly let him talk, and didn’t ask many questions.

What a blessing! Can't get that here in the US, can ya????

You’re correct. The article and the interview are quite different.

You make an important point.

We are not usually privileged to listen to an entire, unedited videotape of an interview.

Our 'press' are such drama queens they can't let the 'subject' dominate the interview.

Plus, most people don't have the attention span necessary to listen to the entire interview.
