I’m glad they made an arrest. I hope the detectives have done their job and have gotten the right guy.

Unfortunately, they “normally” keep animal torture a secret, and learn from their “mistakes.” When they finally start taking human lives, they keep that hidden as well, and enjoy thinking they are smarter than the authorities who hunt them.

In these days of mega-scientific forensics and DNA, being a serial killer has a relatively short life span.

Interesting. I hadn’t thought about the increased rates of behavior like this in relation to the change and frequency of sex ed. Sounds like it may be a valid theory worth looking into. When children are exposed to sexual stimulation (could be visual, audio, not necessarily molestation) they sometimes get stuck there (for lack of a better word). Their are not emotionally mature enough to understand the content and what to do with it.

They’ll get him on plenty of other stuff. He’s already charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty, 19 counts of improperly disposing of an animal body, and 4 counts of burglary. Start multiplying the penalties for each of those by the number of charges, and he’s looking at some serious time. And his life as the spoiled teenage son of well-off parents is totally over. His father is a dentist, and even if his father was inclined to let him back in the house at this point, I have to think the dental practice is going to go off a cliff too, along with the mother’s goofy life-coaching business. Parents’ financial (and social) circumstances are in for a big, big change.

The picture with the smirk is actually his mug shot

I wondered about that too. If that's a mug shot from this arrest, this kid needs to be locked up in the super-secure psych ward and *never* let out.

Frankly, I don’t see a reason to bring his mother into this. There’s no indication that she knew what was going on.

These people, among others. http://albaweinman.homestead.com/Testimonials.html

Those folks have *got* to be scrambling to figure out how to get their names off her website. Especially the attorney!

You have got to be kidding, right?

They raised their son and he lives with them. What kid of parents does that make them?

Frankly, I don’t see a reason to bring his mother into this. There’s no indication that she knew what was going on.

When I first saw that pic, my first thought was a hope he gets the crap beat out of him in jail one night. He has the look of a smart-ass punk who has gotten away with everything up to now - time for life to explain reality to him.

Why, I do believe the authorities are a mite miffed. Good.

Since she holds herself out publicly as having amazing talents to transform other people’s lives (for a fee), I see no reason not to “bring her into this”. She had a psychopathic son under her roof while she was engaging in all this psychobabble, and either didn’t know or didn’t care what was going on in *his* life.

I hope you’re right but I think they usually run concurrent sentances on stuff like this. I am thinking based on the following he will receive a max of 5 years, $10,000.00 and undergo psychological counseling or complete an anger management treatment program.

2) A person who intentionally commits an act to any animal which results in the cruel death, or excessive or repeated infliction of unnecessary pain or suffering, or causes the same to be done, is guilty of a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 (Up to 5 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to $5,000 or any higher amount equal to double the pecuniary gain derived from the offense by the offender or double the pecuniary loss suffered by the victim) or by a fine of not more than $10,000, or both.

(a) A person convicted of a violation of this subsection, where the finder of fact determines that the violation includes the knowing and intentional torture or torment of an animal that injures, mutilates, or kills the animal, shall be ordered to pay a minimum mandatory fine of $2,500 and undergo psychological counseling or complete an anger management treatment program.

For whatever reason, he clearly has grown into a psychopath. Childhood abuse? Bad friends? Some quirk of his own?

He will spend the rest of his life making life miserable for other people any time he gets a chance, even if he doesn’t get the opportunity to turn into a serial killer.

We all have consciences to start out with, but his is buried deep somewhere and apparently no longer accessible.

Thanks, but there must be something in there about “counts.” I’m sure the animals that have been found are just the tip of the iceberg, and with the proper handling (since he looks like he’s proud of what he’s done) he could admit to a lot more on tape, and have lots of time to ponder the workings of the legal system.

That may be wishful thinking on my part, but I’m an optimist by nature!!

Oh, really! It all starts with parenting. It would be more interesting to read the public records of the divorce (as mentioned earlier) to see if the typical lawyer garbage is evident resulting of parental alienation by the mother (typically self absorbed legal justification of tyranical justice against the father whether justified or not).

But we know it works both ways and is still not an excuse for his behavior.

Where is PETA on this? What are you asking? Is the implication that PETA should be holding massive rallies right now?
