Over the last 10 years a sizable portion of the constitution has been destroyed by invoking emergency powers in response to threats, both real and perceived. It is clear that the government, under Obama and his sponsors, is fabricating emergencies in order to impose further emergency powers.

The Roosevelt assault on capitalism was stopped by the Supreme Court, but this refusal to even hear the case makes it clear that the current Supreme Court is not up to the task to stopping Obama.
Fundamentally, it's over for the republic. Unless the military steps in, which it won't, Obama will have done so much damage to the rule of law, the economy and the country that even if the Democrats lose control of Congress in 2010 (which also probably won't happen), it will take two generations to undo the damage. Worse, by 2012, we won't have a real election. The Republicans are worthless -- and I say this having supported the party since Eisenhower!
