just heard live on tv
posted this morning
Oh, no. This is terrible.
Did you just wake up?
David Carradine, who was found dead on June 4 aged 72, was the lanky, sad-eyed American actor catapulted to fame as Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s cult television series Kung Fu; after two decades in the doldrums, his career took sail again when he played the assassin-turned-victim in Quentin Tarantino’s two-part film saga Kill Bill.
first I heard it at all, this is OLD news??
Ahhh Grasshopper, have respect for the cord
man, FOX just said this is breaking news, I never heard it at all on th news today!
I guess the telegraph wires are down in Connecticut today...
Of course, search works better when people actually post KEYWORDS in their posts. The link you provided has none.
LOL, yes, sadly. This was reported very early this morning.
Thanks for posting it, though. Perhaps others didn’t know.
I hadn't seen the details of his "hanging" officially talked about.
There were "rumors".
I had heard it earlier. Still, sad way for the man’s life to end. Was just talking about him the other day too.
Fox does that “Fox News Alert” stuff all day, even if it is old news.
No more pebble snatching
RIP Mr. Carradine...
well, like I posted, I had just HEARD it on tv...
i used to watch Kung Fu with my brother, who is 15 years older than i am... my brother studies martial arts and we loved this show... i hated the character David Carradine played on the mini series North and South... he was mean...
This is the first I’ve heard about it and I’ve been on this box since 5 AM this morning.
Also posted earlier than your link here: :)
I suppose there are a LOT of postings of this. He has many fans, from his notably long work history.
72 years old, and Kwai Chang is into auto-asphyxiation, or whatever that ‘act’ is called.
Too bad there isn’t any other way a man can satisfy his urges in Thailand.
Never missed an episode of Kung Fu when i was a kid R.I.P. Mr. Carradine may your Death Enlighten you as your life did us .
Fare well to a Great actor
I know. I’m not criticizing you, but commenting that you shouldn’t be jumped on for posting it because you wouldn’t have found the previous thread if you had searched for it.
I always search for threads before I post them, but it’s amazing how many threads are posted with no keywords.
Then I post something and someone gets in a snit about it already being posted and the thread gets pulled or locked.
It would help if people used reasonable keywords.
Yeah, he had respect for the cord all right. Too much respect. Cripes, I have never heard of someone killing themselves like that before...
>> Did you just wake up?
First laugh all day - probably the last.
Copy and paste works well.
Still, there’s a field for keywords and it would be helpful to use it.
Another thing I’ve run into is that on occasion, I check a title and get no results. Suspecting that there had to be a thread, I checked a variety of keywords and the thread popped up with the EXACT title I just searched for and didn’t get even though it was from the same source.
Search is notorious for not working well, but people using keywords would help tremendously.
Lumpini police said the body of Carradine was found curled up inside the wardrobe with one end of a shoelace tied around his penis and the other end fastened around his neck.Seems to be a lot more than just a simple suicide. Sad!
Both of his hands were bound with a cord which was also tied around his neck, said an officer at the station who requested anonymity.
Forensic experts said Carradine had probably died between 12 and 24 hours before his body was found.
They said there were no injury marks on his body and no evidence of a struggle having taken place in the room. Mysteriously, a footprint found on the bed did not match the shoes worn by Carradine.
When I heard the details of the death....I wondered if it was auto-erotic asphyxiation.
Sooooo sad. One of my favorite shows as a kid....and have watched it with my ‘little one’ as we both train in karate.
It seems to me that main attractions in Bangkok are kids and hookers.
there are nice beaches....
Kinky sex kills
So does smoking.
but its amazing how many threads are posted with no keywords.
That's why you search on titles and not exclusively on keywords.
I search by title.
Look at a map the beach’s are rather far away. the place is hot and crawling with buuuuuuuugs. I was never there but a pal of mine liked it, gave the squad a case of the crabs, no taste.
Name of the film he was making:
I do both.
Was he light in the loafers?
I thought he had a brother and a father who were actors.
His father was John Carradine. He was in many horror/suspense movies I think in the 30s and 40s. Then in the 60s he appeared in a few episodes of the Munsters as Herman’s boss, Mr. Gateman.
I’ve seen a few suicides, I’ve never figured out why so many do it naked. It is very disturbing to see a dead man swinging from the ceiling.
Great food, awesome temples, wonderful people. Gateway to the rest of Thailand, which is also wonderful.
God Bless David Carradine........great TV memories as Kwai Chang Caine. Very sad that he’s gone. I wish him full peace. Another great character Actor........gone. Very sad.
