Japan has already seen how we treat our allies. They know they stand alone unless they can form an alliance with China. If they do that, the US is in real trouble.
Bluster for money and stuff. The problem is, they’ll actually do some ugly stuff if we don’t give them what they want.

It will embolden them and solicit applause from much of the world. Eventually, someone will have to remove that pot bellied dictator by force and permanently destroy their capabilities for nuclear technology. It is either going to be the US or China.
