Justice Department (through Solicitor General Elena Kagan) urges Supreme Court not to hear appeal from former CIA officer Valerie Plame, after lower courts threw out her lawsuit claiming damages from alleged scheme to invade her privacy by exposing her as a CIA employee.

Plame’s exposure led to conviction of Cheney aide Lewis Libby on obstruction of justice charges. -- Josh Gerstein (3:31 p.m.)

So the Obamists want to drop this?

I’d almost like to see it go forward. This has been a fraud, start to finish.

I agree - both Val and Joe are lying treasonous scumbags who are so partisan they could care less what it does to the country. I want them both under oath (although Congress gave her a total pass on lies she told them). No one will ever press charges for the perjury these two have committed. Makes my blood boil that Libby went down and these two are still out on the streets whining.

I wonder how Sean feels when people on the street call out, “Hey, it’s Spicoli!, duuuude!”

Who did they sucker in to produce that movie? Unless they shoot on a porno budget its guaranteed to lose money. Hey, there’s an idea, maybe they could get a porn studio to shoot it - they’re experienced at making obscene movies.

Except it wasn't Scooter Libby who LEAKED and the government knew this.

Me, too .... a sickening travesty of justice.

And Armitage still sits on his fat butt, free
from any jailtime, as his emperor, Colin Powell,
attempts to define the Republic party for the
little people. What farces.

They must really suffer under the delusion that
we’re that stupid.

And revealing the fact that she was employed in the CIA was not a felony, or even a misdemeanor.

Armitage did nothing wrong in revealing Plame’s name - heck, Wilson outed her on his own Who’s Who website bio and indirectly by writing his NYTimes column. Armitage and Powell are truly evil for serving in Bush’s administration when they had no respect for the man or his policies and undermined the war effort at every turn. They were all shooting for a coup d’etat, and effectively pulled it off.
