More Carbon: The Only Answer to Global Freezing
American Thinker ^ | 5/15/2009 | James Lewis

Posted on 05/15/2009 6:23:51 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Global Warming is dead. Global Freezing is in.

According Dr. Terri Jackson, a physicist and climatologist, writing in the Belfast (Ireland) Telegraph, on May 13,

"There is now irrefutable scientific evidence that far from global warming the earth has now entered a period of global cooling which will last at least for the next two decades.

"Evidence for this comes from the NASA Microwave Sounding Unit and the Hadley Climate Research Unit... ."

Etcetera ad infinitum. You've heard it before. Just flip the temperature story from high to low. The polar bears are all going to live, but the desert jackals are all going extinct. Along with James Hansen and the other global fraudsters.

Now watch the political class jump on the Global Freezing bandwagon. They don't care. Doom is doom! Money is money. Power is power.

Global Freezing? Goody! It's another jackpot!

And they will be warmly supported by all the corrupt and money-hungry science-types who run the big science journals.

But here's the kicker: we won't have to do anything to change the climate back --- not if you believe any of the professional liars of the Global Warming scam. All we have to do is follow the lead of India and China and increase our carbon production as much as possible!

See, Obama's EPA has decided that carbon warms the planet.

That's a great Green opportunity for the political class, because now they can tax carbon --- including breathing out, expelling gas in other ways, and running your car in the driveway.

Not to mention private jets and running coal-fired plants, drilling for oil, and a thousand other sensible ideas for more energy independence.

Well, if carbon warms the planet, and the planet is now sliding downward into frozen hell, it's obvious what we must do, fast:

Burn more coal.

Drill more oil.

Make more and bigger cars.

And above all, stop taxing carbon! That way producers will make more. And of course, stop throwing more money after new sci-fi brainstorm for novel energy from the sun, the oceans, geothermal, and ethanol.

Just remember to use as much carbon as you can. Do Mother Gaia a big favor. Breathe out as much as you can. Have a BBQ in your backyard. Eat beef.

And let's teach all the little kids around the world to burn their carbon!

Only you can Save the Planet!

Sure....

If I had a nickel for every hard and fast *irrefutable scientific evidence* type pronouncement by scientists...

“If I had a nickel for every hard and fast *irrefutable scientific evidence* type pronouncement by scientists...”

I don’t believe the person making this pronouncement IS a scientist...

There isn’t “irrefutable scientific evidence” of what will happen over the next twenty years, but it’s pretty clear the Earth has cooled since 1998, and it has cooled sharply since 2006. The solar cycle is showing signs of Dalton or Maunder Minimum type behavior, which I believe accounts for most of the cooling, and is the source of the “next 20 years of cooling” prediction. There, of course, could be either more or less cooling depending on what exactly happens. For instance, if there were a large volcanic eruption anytime over that period, it wouldn’t be good.

The beauty of the cooling trend is that, as this article points out, it turns all of the “global warming” policies on their head. Cap and trade no more! lol

Hah, well after looking at the article, I see it was a scientist that said that...way too many of ‘em don’t know how to properly qualify their language these days.

I’d say there’s “irrefutable proof” of cooling over the last few years, and a good chance we’re looking at a long-term cooling trend (decades).

If the answer to global warming is to drive small cars, carpool to work, use less less electricity, and recycle everything. Shouldn't the answer to global cooling be the opposite?

Nope, guaranteed:

The answer to “Global Cooling” will be more centralized control, more socialism, and reduced lifestyle for you and me.

If the extent of my scientific training was a baking soda volcano then I'd agree whole-heartedly with you.

The big burning ball of fire in the sky affects our planet more than almost anything humans could do, with the exception of lighting off all the nukes. Our sun’s “green band” is very narrow, so almost any fluctuations in solar activity will cause temperature and climatic changes far more than man made changes.

Yes, the same people who are telling us that CO2 causes global warming will now start saying that CO2 will cause a "nuclear" winter(Remember that one?). They will admit their mistake but insist that they were right about the toxic affects of CO2, and we must all do without electricity except for the Military and certain elite politicians. The peasant class will be allowe 2.3 hours of electricity a day which will be allotted on a random basis, no set time for when it comes on or goes off. During this time you will be expected to charge your electric cars, do laundry and what ever else you have to do. If your car can't be charged in that time period you can either walk to work or bicycle. Natural gas will be on for 4 hours daily to allow for the cooking of food.

No wood burning stoves, no outside fires, no heating or cooling of dwellings will be allowed and not bathing except for once a month whether you need it or not.

That's just a partial list of the things Bozo will try to force on us, regardless of whether the weather cools off or heats up.

Think I am kidding? Look where they have headed already and what they are trying to shove down our throats.

Aw, c’mon Duncan, everybody knows that physics and climatology aren’t REAL sciences! (/s)

I tried bringing this article to the attention of a “greenie” co-worker, and was told exactly that!

Wilful ignorance is the term, I believe.

The beauty of the predicted cooling trend is that every time scientists make some written in stone type pronouncement, the opposite happens.

But I’m all for any statements that put an end to zero’s cap and trade ideas.
