The meeting this week between Barack Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will speak volumes as to where the United States will officially stand in relation to its long history of support for Israel. Perhaps we are now at a point and place in history where the United States will no longer reach back to the Bible in its understanding the miraculous fulfillment of prophecy that occurred.

"Obama’s (Jewish) Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, reportedly told an Israeli lobbying group that any efforts by America to stop Iran’s nuclear threat hinged on peace talks with the Palestinians. Netanyahu is first and foremost a hardliner who will not sit idly by and play politics as Iran’s threat to wipe out Israel gets louder."

LET GOD ARISE AND HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED.

BLESSED BE THE NAME AND WORD OF THE LORD.

BLESSED BE THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.

BLESSED BE THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY WHO’S MIGHTY STRONG ARM WILL BE MIGHTY IN BEHALF OF ISRAEL . . . in HIS WAYS, IN HIS TIME.

An outsider could be pardoned for the impression that America is poised to throw this longtime ally under the Iranian bus for the sake of a rabble that to date has shown it would be glad to shove Israel into the sea, showering it with rockets as it goes.

We need a new President, like yesterday.

Dear PM Netanyahu; whatever he says, take Obama’s words with a grain of salt. He will say he is a friend to Israel, but beware the knife he’d stick in your back.

Well, I’d say yes. It sets it up so that every country will be against Israelm which is what it says will happen. Certainly they ae no longer on favorite terms with the Obama administration. It could get worse.

I have a hard time taking someone seriously when they try to make the case that the establishment of a modern, secular European-style state in the Middle East in 1948 somehow represented a "fulfillment" of an Old Testament prophecy.

I wonder if Isaiah would even recognize the place today.

“I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:2-3)

God said that the Jews would return to the land in unbelief:

15 No longer will I make you hear the taunts of the nations, and no longer will you suffer the scorn of the peoples or cause your nation to fall, declares the Sovereign LORD.' "

16 Again the word of the LORD came to me: 17 "Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman's monthly uncleanness in my sight. 18 So I poured out my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land and because they had defiled it with their idols. 19 I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions. 20 And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them, 'These are the LORD's people, and yet they had to leave his land.' 21 I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.

22 "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone. 23 I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.

24 "For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. 28 You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine. 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign LORD. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, O house of Israel! (Ezekiel 36:15-32)

The fact that the Jews who are living in Israel at this moment in time are secularist if not atheist, does not cancel out God's covenant with them, nor does it cancel God's promise to save them, nor does it cancel God's promise that they will come back to Him and be his people once again.

Nor does it cancel out God's sovereign promise to curse anyone who curses Israel. That vow still applies today, and it will be visited on America if Barack Obama abandons Israel or does anything that will cause her harm. With the way we as a nation have spit in God's face and the offenses we have committed against Him, the only thing holding God back from destroying this nation is our support of Israel. If we throw the nation of Israel to the wolves, we are finished.

It's that simple.

If anything to me, it would follow the typical history of Israel. bible does say, (I think) that after Iran and Syria are defeated then Israel will see the power of God and repent as they have done thruout history. Sin and then repent

Israel is on their own now...their American relatives voted to turn their back on Israel.

If the American Jews don't care about Israel, why should I?

The fact that the Jews who are living in Israel at this moment in time are secularist if not atheist....,P> Go to Jerusalem and then tell me that the Jews living in Israel are secularist or atheist. Tel Aviv - that is somewhat different, but know your facts.

One very solid fact is that the religious Jews are out-breeding the secularists and atheists by a wide margin, and most of those who immigrate are religious. Your stereotype of a secularist/atheist Israel is being made more obsolete every single day.

Israel the modern nation is supposed to be a work in progress (spiritually speaking). Check out Ezekiel 36:24-31:

24 For I will take you from among the nations, and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean; from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

27 And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep Mine ordinances, and do them.

28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be My people, and I will be your G-d.

29 And I will save you from all your uncleannesses; and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye may receive no more the reproach of famine among the nations.

31 Then shall ye remember your evil ways, and your doings that were not good; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

I wonder if Isaiah would even recognize the place today.

Maybe not (at least outside of Jerusalem and other religious areas), but hang around for a while - things are changing for the better. Anyway, Ezekiel would.

Unfortunately there are only 19% who practice their faith to start with in Israel.

I will be in Israel this November and plan on telling every Jew that I speak to the same thing. “You have be sold down the river by your Jewish brethren in the United States”.

“Until they stop supporting Obama your country is in dire jeopardy”.

God’s Way Is The Highway.

Obama and crew - take heed, lest you anger the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

It's not a stereotype- aside from the testimony of a good friend of mine who is an Orthodox rabbi and who has family in Israel and who visits there often and who can't get any angrier about the secularist/atheist "Jews", and aside from the proud admission of many an Israeli Jew that they are secularist, I'd have no reason to believe that most, not all but most, Jews living in Israel today are non-religious and happy about it.

It's not a putdown. Just a fact.

I think your exhortation is much toooooo late.

And would have likely gone unheeded decades ago, anyway.
