Good photos have a way of saying much more than words alone can ever express. They also become associated with human rights movements becoming a catalyst for major social change. So it is with the photograph of a little hand from a little boy. It was extending from the first home of his mothers womb and grasping the hand of a surgeon who was performing surgery upon him at the age of 21 weeks to correct spina bifida. It has become one of the most powerful images in the human rights struggle of our age, the struggle to stop the killing of innocent children in the womb through intentional abortion.
In the midst of the verbal engineering which has sought to convince people that such an evil can ever be a right it exposes the lie without the need for words. In the propaganda war which has sadly convinced many that dismembering children in the womb - or killing them through chemical strikes - is some form of health care; it communicates the truth by exposing the evil behind every procured abortion.
This incredible photograph was taken on Aug. 19, 1999 by a man named Michael Clancy. He styled it "Fetal Hand Grasp". It appeared for the first time on Sept. 7, 1999 in U.S.A. Today. The amazing little boy was born on December 2, 1999 and his loving family named him Samuel Armas. His somewhat unusual first baby picture has become the most popular photograph in the great human rights movement of our age, the Pro-Life movement.
It has been used repeatedly to accomplish what spoken words have not been able to

You should post that pic as well. I still get goosebumps when I see it.
Thanks for that. I always think how God tells us that He knows us before we were born and the amazing part is that God doesn’t just know about us, or know we are there, He literally knows US and our very being. We are, indeed, fearfully and wonderfully made.
Within days, if not hours, Obama signed the death warrants for millions of unborn Samuel Armas’.
How anyone can respect the life of anyone that voted for Obama is beyond words.
What does ‘literally know US and our very being’ mean, exactly?
Ten Years Later, Boy's 'Hand of Hope' Continues to Spark Debate [Samuel Armas update]
Well, God already knows who we are and what we will be - our likes, loves, personality, the depth of our being and the desires of our heart - He already knows it all - in advance. He knows what every inch of our body will look like when born, when a child, when an adult, and when old. He knows how we will die and He knows every mistake we will ever make and every loving thing we will ever do. He already knows who will love Him too.
He knows us better than any human ever will because He created each one of us. A quick analogy is an artisan who creates one-of-a-kind work that can not be duplicated ever and he lovingly puts his entire being into his work.
Is that what you mean? Or did you want something else?
Paved, You said a mouthful, and I thank you from my heart! My would-have-been first-born was aborted. What did I know then. I think about him/her often, what could have been, what will never be. I cry for all of them.
None of us will ever forget that photo.
Oh, you have brought tears to my eyes. I have a dear friend - he is a pastor. When he was a teen he and his girlfriend “got pregnant” and aborted the baby. When my son was bout 17, he came up to me with tears in his eyes and said, “you know, my child would be your son’s age” and he told me there was not a day that went by....
Another guy I dated years back - an engineer from MIT no less - also went through this experience. He was not very religious but he told me it really bothered him, even years later.
It sounds like you are truly repentant and God is faithful to forgive those who ask. Someday you can rejoice in Heaven with your child (since I don’t believe in Limbo).
When you get to heaven, you will see your first born and you will know you have been forgiven.
A print screen followed by an edit paste to wordpad or word should capture the doc.
I’m confused about what you’re telling me?
Well, there are words, in the Declaration of Independence as well as (and clearly inspired by) scripture and doctrine.
We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
The operative word is "inalienable." Honor is due all life.
I agree with you.
It’s tough to argue with you on this, as I do believe in those words, but I no longer see any relevance to the lives of some folks, libs being among them.
You are welcome to think less of me, but I will not change the way I think about these wasted pieces of human flesh. A heartless serial killer may be forgiven by God, but that’s His call.
This is the photo that got Drudge kicked off TV. His producer told him not to show it and he did anyway, knowing full well that he wouldn’t have a TV show anymore.
Brave man....
